“problem with blade holders”
Craftsman 5" Scroll Saw (21609) —
After having this machine for a couple of months, I've come to the conclusion that the blade holders are very problem-matic. If you use the pin-less blades after a minute or 2 of use the tension mechanism loosens and the blade bends. I thought it was me getting use to a new tool but after buying saveral types of blades from speciality shops and trying them, I know it is not user error. The problems seems to be with the lower vise type holder. It allows the blade to slip, thus releasing the tension. I believe that I will return this unit and ask for another to try.
