Works well and fast cutting compared to regular lawn tractor.
Just bought my 6000 last fall in time to use it four times. Comfortable to drive, and easy to steer after about 45 minute of getting use to. Saves me about two hours a mow, or about half the time it does on my riding tractor. Only complaint is that it is hard to start. Spins like crazy, but it won't fire. Will finally hit after playing with all types of throttle positions. I currently have two other sears riding mowers and have never had this much trouble getting them started. Would rate 5 stars if it would start properly.
The Zero Turn 52 is durable, light, great on gas, and seems to go forever. I mow two and a half acres and it has no problems completing this chore. I use to own a heavy duty ********** 425 that was terrific when it was working, but it cost so much to keep it running I got rid of it.
I purchased this machine from Sears in south Nashville. It cut my mowing time in half. I love the way it cuts and the speed I can trim around my trees.
Would recommend this to anyone.
We bought a Craftsman ZTS 6000 Zero-Turn Rear Engine mower in June. After mowing our acre lawn three times, it sputtered to a stop during the fourth mowing. After letting it sit for ten minutes, it started, but only ran for less than a minute before stopping again. After waiting a week, the repairman came out, only to tell me it was probably because "I" had the throttle lever in choke (which I didn't). After he left, I mowed the lawn. Two weeks later, I got five minutes into the lawn and it did the same thing. The repairman came out and said the choke was probably stuck and/or the transmission...
read full review »I took mine back after getting stuck 4 times in 20 minutes. It does not like slopes of any kind. I've driven other ZTR mowers and this mower is definitely of lesser quality. I went back to a lawn tractor with more HP. Very disappointed in this product!
Like another reviewer here, I purchased a 2007 model of this zero-turn, same specs and design but for a 50" deck vs. a 52". I mow about 3 acres of grass when its in running condition; unfortunately, I have had 4 service calls in the last 12 months. The starter has gone out, a belt broke, 3 spindles on the mower deck have broken (1 has broken 2 times now). The mower feels underpowered as well, it frequently bogs down and I find myself mowing at 1/2 speed often. If you intend to purchase this mower, I strongly suggest getting the extended warranty. I've used over $1000 in repair calls.
Mention the name... 26 hp, 52" ZTR mower, Z6000! It was delivered on July 16th, and ran fine. Two days later, I could not get it to start. It would crank like crazy, but not start. I had to put the battery on the charger, then it fired up fine. This has happened several times since. When it is running, it works great. I called Sears to get some help, that was like hacking my way through a jungle with a butter knife. When I finally got in touch with a tech, he was slightly insulting. All in all, I'm glad I bought the mower. Cut my mowing time by 60%, plus my grandson loves...
read full review »Bought mower and it cuts and runs great, the thing that i am most unhappy is and the reason i'll probably return it to sears is false advertising. Your brosure and your yard and garden crew all told me that this unit has an hour meter on it and it doesn't, also you tried to send me another one out that had one and guess what, that one didn't either. so now you offered me a $300 gift card and a after market cobbled hour meter that you're sending me.. I am not happy and you people need to fix your online ad and train your people what your mowers have for options and what they don't have...i...
