great traction on hills

Have had this mower for 3 years it still starts the first pull every time. The rear wheel drive is great on hills, with the rear bagger all the weight is right over the drive wheels. Even my wife can start this mower. Easy 1 lever adjust for the cutting height.

Not the best!

I bought the "6.5 HP rear wheel drive mower in 07. It replaced my old Craftsman 4.0 HP front drive mower. The old 4 HP mower cut an inch wider at 22 inches and outperformed the 6.5 hp in every way. I thought to myself how does an old 4 hp work better than a 6.5 hp. A Class Action Lawsuit has asked that...

reliable mower

I bought the equivalent to this mower about 5 years ago when I bought our house.  Only last year did it begin to become hard starting.  I probably tipped the mower the wrong direction when cleaning the blade and undercarriage.  I've since learned that you only tip it with the gas side up, otherwise the fuel can leak into the oil.  I just got it back from service for a tune up and it runs again like it was brand new!  Very reliable mower.

The Craftsman 6.5 hp rear wheel drive saved my back. After recent surgeries I could not push the old mower around the yard anymore. This rear wheel drive really paid off.  My yard is about 2.10 acres of mostly woods. I have a yard near the back of the house that goes up and down and around various trees and flowers etc... My rider can't make all the curves and a zero turn cost too much! This mower is easy to start and maintain. Thanks again Craftsman. Snap-on doesn't make lawn mowers either. HA-HA!

Great Lawn Mower

This lawn mower was given to us as a house warming gift and it's still running perfectly even five years later. We love it! I know that when we need a new one, I'll purchase this exact model again. Even a city girl can operate and appreciate this function of this great mowing machine.

I like how it is easy to start.  Doesn't stall out like other brands that I have used in the past.  The dust control bag is great, it keep the wife happy, I don't come in the house dusty.

I purchased mine in 2007 after spending the previous two years buying a new mower each year.  The mower is great, each spring, I get it out of the shed, change oil, fill with gas, and it starts on first pull.  Easy to use, rear wheel is great on hills and banks.

When I purchased my  Craftsman 6.5 hp rear wheel drive I had no idea how much easier my lawn mowing would be. It cut my mowing time in half, i am able to recycle my clippings with the rear bagger.

I am able to adjust the height for different times of the summer with ease. When I allowed a friend to try it out my Craftsman 6.5 hp rear wheel drive I felt like Tom Sawyer and the fence painting, I could not get him to stop mowing. He went out and bought his ownCraftsman 6.5 hp rear wheel drive  because I would not let him borrow mine.
