Craftsman 6.75 Torque 21 in. Deck Rear Bag Rear Propelled Lawn Mower —

I live in Broward County, South Florida.  I have a corner lot with typical flat areas of grass in the front yard and along the easment on the west side of my property.  I purchased this mower because the one I inherited from the previous homeowner was really past its prime and struggled to cut the lawn over 4 or 5 inches.  I probably could have spent a hundred or so to repair it but I'm like many and decided it was time for a new one.

This mower comes nearly assembled, save for the grass collector and side thrower.  You have to unfold the push bar and tighten the provided hand nuts.  You must put the included oil in and charge the battery overnight, if you want to use the electric start. This model has the key start as well as the pull start which is nice.  The mower starts on the first key turn or pull of the cord.  I have mine set to mulch so I can't comment on the grass collector or side throw features.  This mower does not have the all wheel height adjustment lever that some models have and therefore each wheel must be manually set to one of five height positions.  This mower is easy to push without the rear wheel drive but I really appreciate the power assist from the propelled rear wheels to help get the task done in a timely manor.  The mower will take off quickly, as I learned, if you mash down the lever to engage the rear wheels.  A more subtle squeeze is all that's required unless you enjoy sprinting behind your mower to get your cardio workout in at the same time.

Three things I'm disappointed in but not deal breakers are:

1. The deck wash hose connector popped off after one use.

2. The deck wash itself, after use, is a gimmick and I ended up using a pressure washer to spray the excess grass that got caked on the underside.

3. The cover for the battery and rear drive belt, which requires 2 philips and 1 hex head screws to be taken off, accumulated grass and dirt in it which I can see causing issues if not routinely cleaned after use.

All in all a great mower and pleasant mowing experience.

We also bought not one, but two Craftsman push mowers, same model as yours, and have no regrets. We have alot of property and while our riding mower was out for repairs (1-month) we put these two push mowers to the test. They surpassed our expectations while providing a nice finish. We are very pleased with these mowers.
