I had a craftsman mower for 14 yrs without major issues! Bought this mower on sale and had problems right out of the box! Mower started on first pull, but rear bag filled up fast and unit stalled on each pass of the yard! Engine seemed strong but blew white/blue smoke when restarting. Took longer to cut grass with empting bag and stallouts. Noticed oil underneath the mower the next day. Sears allowed me to exchange mower without issue and decided to give Snapper a chance.
Sears needs to go back with one lever for starting and the other lever locking in place for propelled mowers. Holding down two levers is a pain and will rust out in time. The rear bags are too small and the design of the rear shoot next to blade is what I believe were causing these issues.
