Craftsman 6 gal. Wet-Dry Vac, Tank Style, 3.0 peak hp —
I've owned this vacuum for about 4 years. I used it sparingly over the years and I always used the high filtration bags. Regardless, the motor does not use bearings, but cheap bushings that wore out (telltale sign was the motor became very noisy and the rpm dropped). The bushings cannot be individually replaced, and the replacement cost of the motor costs more than the vacuum itself.
I also own a 10+ year old Shop-Vac that still works great, but it's too small. I'm going to try a Shop-Vac next time around. I'm sadly disappointed in the quality/durability of this Craftsman shop vacuum along with other Craftsman tools that I own.
