I bought the electric engraver for personal use at home and was quite surprised at how easy it is to use. It works great! I wondered if it would be underpowered, but to my surprise I have only had to use it on it's lowest power setting. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone needing such a tool.
I've used other engravers in the past and the Craftsman did not heat up in my hand or chatter uncontrollably across the metal I was engraving and after using for an hour my hand did not hurt at all.
Very good product. Makes steady straight lines and characters. Very easy to use. Easy to follow instructions. Compact makes it easy to use even for women. Only bad part of tool is that it only comes with one carbide tip. Other wise a very good tool. Very satisified with tool purchase.

I've not used it extensively yet but I've engraved about 30 tools and it is pretty easy to use. I found out on the box wrenches you only need to use a one which is a lighter engraving. If you use the higher numbers it goes deeper but is thinner and you have to trace over to get the letters wider.
This also came with a stencil that I was excited about at first but it doesn't stay still when trying to use the engraver through it. I guess...
