“Get's the job done.”

Having used many circular saws such as this in the past, I find that this saw easily competes with the top name brand competitors.  The only flaw I see is that it is a bit loud while operating which I guess is mainly due the the lighweight construction of it.  This is nothing that a set of ear plugs...

“Craftsman 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw is effective circular saw.”

I use this saw not as much as I like, the reason is it heavy to move around in my small shop. It needs more power, not good hard woods. “Cuts like a hot knife through butter”

This is a great tool. It rips and crosscuts with lots of power. It's easy to guide to make straight cuts. I've had other brands, but this is the best.

“lacks power when cutting 3/4 inch plywood otherwise nice .”

received it as a x-mas gift . light and easy to handle but is under powered for cutting 3/4 plywood with fine plywood blade.

“Circular Saw rating”

I noticed in the description of this product it does not say what HP the motor is for this product. It just says that it has a powerful motor. Also, I would like to see more info listed specifically as safety features. No one wants to buy an item that could be dangerous and first time circular saw buyers and users want to know that the product is made with their safety in mind. I love the Craftsman label and I also wonder if there is a Craftsman guarantee on this product anything like that of the Craftsman tools such as socket sets, wrenches, and vise grips.

I bought this for my husband last year for christmas. He had never used one before and he uses it all the time now he loves it and says that its easy to use. I love it too cause he gets things done around the house..lol GREAT PRODUCT
