“For the money, you can't beat it - solid performance!”
I got this on sale for $19.99 and, at that price, highly recommend this blower. I have never used an electric before, only gas, so I can't comment as to the improved performance possible with an electric with higher amperage. That said, this little blower has plenty of air volume (more CFM than a Toro Rake & Vac I was also considering that cost over double the price) and really does a great job cleaning up grass clippings and the like. I've also used it to blow out the dust and dirt from the garage, which it does easily and quickly.
Plus, with the lower amperage, there's less of a concern that it will drop enough to damage the motor when using long extension cords. I'm able to use two 80-foot 16-gauge cords hooked together, whereas if this was a more powerful blower I'd likely need to go out and buy 14-gauge or 12-gauge cords that are much more expensive.
We edged a couple months ago (corner lot - lots of sidewalk) and it took hours to clean up all the grass with a broom and shovel. I edged again yesterday and, using the blower, had it all cleaned up in about 10 minutes. Certainly there was less grass and dirt to pick up since it was more of a touch-up on the prior edging, but I was very happy to have this blower for the task.
If you're looking for a simple blower that does the job without any fuss, I wouldn't look any further than this 7.5 amp model from Craftsman.
