This unit enables your household to function as though you never lost power. With a 5800 watt genset I can maintain hot water, wellpump, entertainment center, PC room, stove, almost all receptacles in the house plus my shop with everything running and draw way less than 35 percent of available power. It is easy to install in a couple hours if your experienced or 3 or 4 hours if your not. It is a clean neat idiot-proof set up and eliminates messy and unsafe drop cords everywhere. A little pricey but well worth the convenience if your retired and don't need the associated problems of a prolonged power outage. I'm quite happy with the function and performance and although little used it is obviously quality made and should have a long service life.
