I recently purchased my saw for some minor demolition work in my home. The saw exceeded my expectations as far as performance. I felt comfortable using the saw and enjoy the handling and workmanship in its design. I've used another brand in trying to get a feel of what to buy and in comparison to D*****, it did great.

I've owned this one for a year now and have used it many times around the house: i.e. plumbing, woodworking, metal cutting. Because changing the blade is so easy, I have been able to go from one job to the next. When I pick up the saw to use it, I have no doubt about its ability to satisfy my needs. For the price. . . you cannot beat this deal!

I have owned this saw for over 3 years now. I have not had one problem with it. I love the adjustable shoe and variable speed. It has been used on metal, pvc, wood (including trees for yard work), and even exhaust pipe. This is probably my most valuable tool I have in my workshop. The only thing I suggest is replacing the blades with better quality ones such as Milwaukee. These blades worn very quickly and some even broke.

This has been a great accessory to my arsenal; I recently added a new closet and let me tell you manual jig saw on metal threshold will never happen again!!! This saw smoothed right through it in no time. Then I was doing yard work and... recip. saw w/wood blades to the rescue. It didn't hurt that I bought this at clearance price either.

For the cost and the Craftsman name, I believe this is a good product. Before this saw, I only had a hand saw so I feel that this saw is like a god sent. No more hand saws for me!

Over the last few years, I have occasionally needed a saw like this, but made do with other power/hand tools I have. Not sure I wanted to spend the money on a seldom used tool.
A recent home remodeling project inspired me to make the purchase. Picked up this saw for $49.99, unboxed it and used it nearly non-stop for the next 3 hrs. It performed flawessly, cutting everything I put in its path (wood and metal) with not a single blade being broken. Blade change is fast and easy and so is the speed setting.
I can't comment on the long-term reliability yet, which is why I only gave it a 4 star,...

I have not had this saw for long but it has performed great so far. I initally bought the saw because I had nails in odd places that needed to be cut but I wasn't sure if the lower powered saw would do the job, it has worked quite well and I have used it to for other jobs as well and at this point I am completely satisfied with it, so I am giving it the highest rating

easy blade access, no screws just a single clamp. variable speed makes it easy to make an incision. compared to other recipricating saws-very light weight. good product comes with bag and start off blades.

I have TONS of tools but never had a lot of need for a reciprocating saw. There are a few projects lately where one would come in handy so I went and bought the cheapest one I could find. I was pleasently surprised with this saw. It does not have all the little features of the saws costing 2 or 3 times more, thats why I gave it 4 stars for features, but it is well built and has everything I need. The saw comes with a very nice soft zippered tool bag with extra room for extention cords and some extra tools. Much nicer than all the plastic cases I have aquired with my other tools. It uses the...

the main flaw with this tool is that the keyless blade holder often loses the blade during use. please improve this feature.

I purchased this reciprocating tool 6 months ago and it is still holding up. The sale was great for this power tool and it would make a great DIY power tool around the house.
