Before purchasing the MONSTER Yard Vac, I researched the concept thoroughly, as I knew there would be alot of different products on the market. Like you, I read the reviews of this product, and watched the video several times. Having been satisfied overall with Sears/Craftsman products for over 30 years, I took the plunge, and was I glad I did! 90% assembly was done by my Salesman. He didn't mess with the template, and I didn't expect him to. I had my own theory that since I had a bagger system for my tractor, it ALREADY had a factory adapter for the deck! NO template to cut out and no drill holes to secure,etc... Since most baggers are two-part, the first part,- the adapter, -fit over the deck housing, and came up about 18". I bought a 8" to 8" elbow to slide over the adapter neck, and connected the provided flex hose to the other end of the elbow,-then to the impeller input. Clamped both ends, and I was good to go in less than 1 hr. The Salesman said he spent 2 hrs assemb., and it wasn't a hassle. I used it yesterday, 10-28-07 for over two hrs. and could not believe how beautiful it works! The motor is plenty powerful, and started FIRST pull!! Mulches and vacuums excellently. I would not hesitate to recommend. Going back out to use it some more. I got it for Cabin property. I only wish I had more trees at my house!
