I have over two acres with many BIG old oak, Hickory, and pecan trees. This machine can do the whole yard in a day while it took several days of raking and tarp dragging before. So the bottom line is that it works pretty well but there are a few tricks. The main thing is don't overfill it. I now stop often and dismount to check if it is full. If you overfill it to the hose gets plugged and you have to disassemble it to unplug it. It trails well and backs well behind my 42 in Sears mower but you need to be careful with tight turns around trees, etc. or the trailer will hit the tree. It works best with a shallow, even layer of leaves. Piles of leaves can be a problem (high clog potential) and you need to go slow if leaves are deep. The best part is the easy trip to dump the hopper. "Dumping" is not hard but you need to rake the leaves out of the trailer, they don't just dump out. The motor started on the first pull every time so far. Assembly was not as hard as some reviewers imply but my vac was missing a bracket so Sears sent a free replacement in a just few days. Fitting the chute to the mower discharge required additional trimming and guesswork even though there was a template for my mower. I had to add a short tarp strap at the back of the chute so it would stay in place when I backed up. One of my tires has four small leaks but I don't know if this is a manufacturing defect or was caused by running over sticker vines. This machine it gets the job done and I'm glad I bought it. Final cautions: It is noisy-wear ear protection. It generates lots of dust so eye protection and a dust mask may be a good idea. The new model appears identical except for the price and color.
