“Good value, but lacks precision”

After cutting some pretty sloppy miters, I checked all adjustments. The fence left and right halves aren't in the same plane. “BADLY MISALIGNED . . . SPRUNG !!!”

I had my eye on this little while. The display model just seemed to have very precise vertical motion. HOWEVER !!! “7-1/4 COMPOUND MITER SAW”

I'M A CAREER CARPENTER. ON LARGE JOBS I'LL USE MY 10 IN. FOR ALL THE BREAD AND BUTTER JOBS I'LL USE THIS LITTLE SAW. GOT IT ON SALE ($70.00) AND WOULD'VE PAID THE REGULAR PRICE HAPPILY. IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT AND THE BLADES COULDN'T BE MORE AFFORDABLE... (...DID I MENTION IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT?) WHAT'S NICE IS, I CAN SET IT ON THE EDGE OF MY CRAFTSMEN 10 IN. PORTABLE TABLE SAW, RIP THE STOCK DOWN...MOVE A BIT, AND CUT IT TO LENGTH. (THIS ARRANGEMENT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE WITH THE 10 IN. COMPOUND.) I'M TOTALLY HAPPY WITH THIS LITTLE GUY.

“One Heck Of A Saw For The Money”

I purchased one of these saws for my father in-law in October and he did great wood work inside the house with this little guy! He was able to cut molding and door trim with this thing, and the dust catcher was an added feature making for little clean up. I was impressed with the saw, so I went out today with my Sears Gift card I got for Christmas and purchased one for myself . You can't beat Craftsman on tools.. Great value and the price is right.

I was looking for a small miter saw to tackle several jobs around the house. This saw was perfect for what I asked it to do. I have done crown and chairrail and cut spindles for a deck. This saw is a great value and I look forward to many years of service from this tool.

“Craftsman Hurricane Handy”

After hurricane season we had a lot of exterior damage to our home. My husband said this Miter saw was his right hand when it came to angles with our replacement vinyl siding. We are a Craftsman family and the performance of this Miter is rock solid, excellent buy. Strongly reccomend.
