WOW!!!! I have hated raking leaves my whole life, and at 53 I finally decided enough. I had bought an L2000 tractor in the spring , so this fall I sprang for the 3 bin hard bagger. I can't beleive I let $1350.00 between the tractor, & bagger make me do all that hard work for so long. I kinda enjoyed... read full review »

I mow two acres and I bag the grass every time I mow. I bought this unit but after 1 and a half Summer's use it has basically fallen apart. There are minimal welds on the area where the arms that hold the bags attach to the unit that bolts onto the back of the tractor. After bouncing around for a Summer... read full review »

4 years ago we moved into our home with a half acre wooded lot. For the past 4 years I have used a blower and rake to clear the leaves in the fall. Each time it would take me 3 evenings after work to do the whole yard, only to have to redo it all over again 5-6 more times before the last leaf fell. This year I said enough. I went online, where I found this beauty on sale. It is the best decision I ever made!!! When I got it home I had it hooked up and ready to go within 15 minutes. I had the entire half acre lot cleared in under an hour and a half! Plus I didn't feel like someone had just put me... read full review »

I purchased the 3-bin bagger and absolutely love the way it cleans the clippings in my yard. I am female and it was simple to assemble & attach to my mower. I think choosing the "hard" bagger was a good idea. The mesh bins would be too flimsy to handle when full and might rip & tear. I give this product a 5 star rating!!!

This bagger works great! I originally bought a 2 bin but it filled up to fast. It works great! My 42 in mower grinds up the grass and leaves. Guy Next door he puts out 6 bags to my 3. Works great!

This bagger did not do the job. The bins are way to small. When the indicator stopped spinning, it was time to empty the bins. I lifted the top so I could empty them. The middle bin was over filled, while the left bin was about 1/2 full, and the right bin had hardly any grass in it. The chute was packed full from top to bottom. I had to take the two sections of the chute apart to get the grass out. Tried it again, and had the same results. Took it off, cleaned it up, put it back in the box, and returned it. It did not perform like I thought it would, very disappointed with this bagger. Also the... read full review »

I have been using this item for two (2) years. It has worked better than expected, and I'm very pleased with its performance and ease of use. The initial installation was easy and took only a few minutes. I can now install and remove the entire unit in under two (2) minutes. The design of the unit makes it possible for me to install and remove it by myself. I use it during the summer for grass clippings and during the fall for leaf pickup. I was surprised that the bagger has the capability to pick up sticks and other lawn debris in addition to lawn clippings. This is the best attachment that I... read full review »

I use my lawn tractor for an easy one acre lawn around my home. This bagger was easy and very functional, but it only lasted 10 months. The plastic lid cracked around the latch handle opening device and eventually cracked in half like an egg. Do not know if the manufacturer had a bad batch of plastic making it particularly brittle? Store would not do an exchange return because more than 30 days. Customer Service would not provide a credit to exchange. Customer Service trying to get the manufacturer (Craftsman) to honor a one year warranty.

Used it for the first time last night and it worked fine. No problem with assembly, only took 15 minutes. I have about 2/3 of an acre and had to unload 3 times but the lawn looks great. It did leak a little grass around the tube leading into the hopper, but a little adjustment fixed that. I am very happy with it.

I gave this 4 stars. It would have received 5 but there are a few problems. As others have mentioned the rubber piece holding the two pieces of the chute together attaches on one end to a metal stud. This stud is nothing more than a screw and it came loose and popped off after the first few uses. I was able to fix it with a larger washer but clearly this wasn't thought out well. Secondly, the weight of the chute rests on the right side of the deck and with my mower this results in a slightly lower cut on the right side. Others have mentioned the chute clogging. I experience this when I get to the... read full review »

I bought this attachment with my new Craftsman GT5000 tractor and have been very satisfied with its performance. Using this bagging attachment, my lawn looks clean and well-manicured after every cutting, and I no longer have to rake up my cuttings. My 3 acre lawn has a lot of areas that require trimming around shrubs and other obstacles, and driving with this bagging attachment requires caution because of its width. Once the operator gets used to the extra width, though, there is no problem in maneuvering close to trees, shrubs, etc. I leave the upright supports for the attachment permanently mounted... read full review »

Well to start off, the idea of having a lawn tractor self bagging system sounds wonderful, especially with a huge lawn. The major problem I'm having is that the grass keeps getting caught in the shoot and I have to stop all the time to clean it out, a huge inconvenience and yes my lawn is dry, I'm using lift cutting blades not mulching. I'm having to stop watering 3 days before I mow just to help remedy the situation, but that only allows the sun to scorch my lawn. I'm very dissatisfied with this product. The helpers in the sears garden section don't have very good answers to my dilemna so what... read full review »

First of all, mine does not have the sloping top (as pictured). Took about 20 minutes to install. Looks good and fits good on mower. Did not leave any clippings (bermuda grass) on my 1/3 acre lawn. I'm using standard blades that are about 3 years old. I needed to use my trailer so I removed the bagger (except chute) in about 30 seconds. Only small issues were 1. the little air-flow wheel stops on it's own and must be flicked. 2. The left-most bin overflows before the right-most bin gets 1/2 full. These are nothing compared to raking my lawn. Best fathers day gift to date!!!

I HAVE OWNED MY HARD BIN 3 BAGGER FOR OVER THREE YEARS OF CONSTANT USE. I USE IT EVERY TIME I MOW 2 LARGE FRONT AND BACKYARDS. THE LEFT BIN FILLS UP FIRST, THEN THE MIDDLE, THEN THE RIGHT. THE WHEEL STOPS SPINNING AND IT'S TIME TO EMPTY THE BINS.I LOVE THE HARD BINS THEY ARE EASY TO EMPTY. AFTER THE GRASS SEASON IT GET'S ANOTHER FULL WORKOUT WITH MULCHING UP THE LEAVES HERE IN THE NORTHEAST. IT TRULY WORKS GREAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ATTACHMENT TO ANYONE WHO DESIRES A QUALITY REAR BAGGER.

I'm not sure what trouble the other reviewers had, but I love this thing! I have been using it with complete satisfaction since the spring of 2007. It installed pretty easy on my 42" Poulan Lawn Tractor. I have had no trouble with it whatsoever. I like the fact that it can be taken off easily and quickly when I need to pull my sprayer across the yard. I would recommend this bagger to anyone with a 42" tractor.
