The bagger works well. I do not wait for the third bag to fill. The overflowing mounds of the first and second bags make up for the 80% level of the third bag. When the little red paddle wheel is spinning furiously that means the third bag is almost completely full and thus time to empty the grass load.Using...

We bought one of these last year and it works well for us, with some minor exceptions. The first one is that the little tiny red plastic flow indicator is poorly made and snapped off in the first 2 weeks. This is not repairable. Design flaw in my opinion. However, the bagger unit itself does work fine...

I read every review before buying this bagger and I was a little skeptical; however, I bought one anyway. Before writing this, I read every review again. I have not had any issues with this bagger. I mow 2 1/2 acres and I bag it, all of it, every time. I keep an eye on the bagger and as soon as it gets full I empty it. As long as I don't over fill it, it takes about 2 minutes to empty and I'm back mowing again. I learned to estimate when I have to empty it when I used it the first time. Only once did I let the bagger get so full that the shoot filled up also. All 3 of my bags fill and I have no...read full review »
I bought this product in hopes it would be worth its weight in gold...The handles break easy and the tops are made of plastic and they break easy also. They fall off going up hills as well. They cost $61.73 each to replace as of 4-22-09. Had it for almost a year. So disappointed!!!
Brought my 54" lawn tractor and Bagger on sale in March 08. Cut my lawn (1/4 acre) in one hour vice 3 hours with self-prop lawn motor. The Bagger work great and is the best part of lawn tractor. Here is greats a TIP; uses 38 gallon clear plastic bags with handle in your 3 baggers; when it time empty; take them off the carrier; push the grass down and close the plastic bag; laid the bagger down on it side pull up the bagger handle on bottom. Out comes your bag grass ready for curb pick up.
Be sure you have the high lift blades on the deck, and you will love this bagger. I never have trouble filling all 3 bags to capacity, but I have a 48" deck. Chute will plug if you over fill the bags... the grass has to go somewhere, but pay attention and you will be fine.
Lower chute attachment which attaches the lower chute to the deck broke at the one year mark. Oh yeah, there is no replacement chute that fits 2004/2005 tractors. Bands that hold the bagger on broke within three months and they are expensive. Full bag indicator works when it wants too. When emptying the bags, don't forget to reach down the chute and clear out all the clippings that don't make it up the chute or the system won't work at all.
product performance is pitiful, I could cut all day long and never fill the third bag, what's the point in having three if it won't ever fill. Lower chute attachments do not keep chute positioned properly and the rear attachment ring gouges my lawn when in reverse. Save your money it would be cheaper to pay someone to rake the grass clippings!
I like the Capacity of the 9 bushel bagger, I mowed longer and not dump as often, highly recommend. Warehouse people the setup the mower and install bagger need to pay more attention. They left the mulching blades on the tractor with the bagging system. Duh-oh !
I wanted a bagger for my 54 inch deck and this 3 bin was the only one available. It works well with exception of filling up the 3rd bin, the 1st and 2nd bin will fill and blow out the cracks before the 3rd bin fills, however i do like the bagger as a whole.
