Craftsman 9 bushel 3 - Bin Soft Bagger for 46 in. Deck —

I've been wanting a bagger for a few years for my 10 year old Craftsman Lawn Tractor. This time, procrastination paid off! The mesh bins in this version (versus the hard bins) are great. The air-flow allows the grass to compact well, so the bags really fill nicely. I was a bit concerned whether this bagger would fit my older rider. It is not a perfect seal, but it is stable and does not drop any clippings. I clogged the chute once, but it was my fault for mowing too fast in slightly damp grass. This bagger is really a five-star item, but I had to go with four stars for an unfortunate reason. The box was missing the two shoulder bolts that the bagger's frame hangs on. I literally talked to six different people at three different toll-free numbers to try to get the bolts shipped to me. The closest I got was a person in Parts who was happy to order them if I paid for them. I don't think so. Finally, a helpful lady at my local Sears store where I picked up the bagger stepped up to the plate. This Sears employee still had to make three calls to three different people to get the bolts shipped, but only after agreeing to a store charge to pay for them. She was as mystified as me as to why the local Sears store must pay for an item that was left out by the contracted manufacturer. Support your local Sears store. Them's good folk! :-)
