Great features at a low price. Wide set casters roll easy and keep it from tipping over. Four HP motor has powerful suction and the snap lock hose stays connected when you pull it around with the hose. All the tools store on the base so they are always handy and the blower connection lets it double as... review »

I purchased this unit because of the special pricing. Only after I had it for a while and threw away the packagging did I realize that you cannot use a bag with this unit. The store sells bags for just about every other size wet-dry vac and I expected to be able to purchase one for this unit. Since the... review »

The vac will not accept collection bags. The fitting that the bag fits on is missing. I was disapointed that I could not use it for cleaning drywall dust. The in store vac display had bags for sale but the Sears vacs can't use them. I am returning mine.

Drove 60 miles to buy one because of flooding in our area.Everyone was sold out around home.Walked into Sears and heard salesman on phone say we have one left and say ya, we can hold it for you.Ya it was a shop vac.Went to K-Mart and bought their last one.(A Craftsman)Got it home and it had one caster wheel missing.Called the Sears parts number and they said we had to call K-Mart first and they would have to call Sears. Why is Craftsman sold at K-Mart then? Why is the owners manual from Craftsman? We had to use it anyway to suck up water in our basement.Works great, but make sure all the parts are... review »

Ripped out a shower pan with my father in law and before the final tear out he pulled it out to get the small stuff out of the way so he could sweep up the tile pieces. He didn't even think that this could pick up the tile, but man it has some power. The only negative is probably a possitive, but it is a pain to use on floor mats as the mat moves everywhere the nozzel does.

Good Vac, however kind of loud. Electrical cord is very short. We ordered a replacement electrical which is much longer. Great for homes with pets that shed!!!!!

I purchased this wet-dry vac to clear water out of our basement following a massive flood we had here in 2006. We had about 3" of water on the floor, and this was the very last vac available at our store (and we were the last ones in the region to still have any!). It worked like a charm, sucking water quickly and effortlessly.

I do recommend a few things: the hepa filter that's treated with teflon is a must. It's got great filtration and doesn't have to be removed for wet pick-up. Also, the noise/air diffuser that goes on the exhaust port makes a big difference with noise and keeping dust from...

And I finally bought this one after some research and reading the reviews posted here. The pickup is very good. I am disappointed in how short the power cord is--actually had to connect it to an extension cord in order to vacuum any distance. I've only every used 1-2 other shop vacs, and my experience is still the same --they are not easily maneuvered. Not only is the power cord short, the hose is not very flexible. Overall, it's OK but I wish it was better designed.

This vac is the worst shop vac I have ever owned. in addition to its poor performance from day one, the ease of use is frustrating. the tools stick to the base and my wife cant even pull them out, the cord is too short. Just in the past year I have spent over $3000 in Craftsman tools at sears. I have had nothing but problems with 30% of those tools. I'm starting to think that Sears and the Craftman name are just not what they use to be.

This vac works great. Large on-off swith is located right on the fron and is large, so it is easy to find. Great suction, picks up everything, so if you have small pets you want to keep, keep them away from this vac. The only item about this vac that I don't like is the hose. It is stiff and doesn't move easily. A different hose or one with an easy swivel would be nice.

I have other larger Sears Shop Vacs but this one was on sale for $39.95 (in store). We also purchased the HEPA filter. The vacuum is definitely not as noisy as the larger models and works very well...especially with the HEPA filter. It is a great shop vac. Since it is smaller it is easier to work with and not so bulky to manage.

Great shop vac. Pics up water with ease. 4.0 HP is plenty of power for home/shop/garage/car/unexpected flooding. The 9 gallon drum is perfect. It does not get too heavy before it is full. The casters could be upgraded to the larger ones to make it a bit more stable but all in all a great vac.

We really like this shop vac. The following items separate it from the others we have had. One: it has bigger wheels so it will pull over rough cement and small bumps (even some grass) without tipping over. Two: The wheels are spread out as wide as possible to keep it steady when pulling it around with the vac. hose. Three: The canister/tank is shorter than most 9 Gal. Vac's, and larger in Diameter, to also keep it from tipping when you pull it with the vac hose. This stability is a big deal when you're bending down cleaning the floor and pulling the vac. along behind you. If it falls over it can... review »

I received this vacuum from my son for Christmas and so I haven't used it extensively. A couple of comments . . . First, I agree with another reviewer about the exhaust blowing dust and dirt around. While I personally haven't experienced this problem, I can see where, at 140 mph, the exhaust could potentially make quite a mess! Perhaps a swivel deflector could be added so one could direct the exhaust where it wouldn't blow stuff around. Secondly, in the owner's manual as well as the online description of the vac, the "push/pull handle" is supposed to be used as a "convenient cord wrap area designed... review »
