Great tools. I've been using Craftsman tools for over 30 years. I haven't put these sockets to the test yet but I sure have with other Craftsman sockets. I hope these hold up just as well as the older ones.

One problem I have with Craftsman sockets is that the set will skip sizes and the missing sizes are hard to find. They are available in other sets just not easy to find on the shelves at Sears or on-line. Another problem is if you need the next set with larger sockets, it doesn't start where the first set leaves off. For example this set I bought was 12mm to 21mm skipping 20mm. The next set larger is 18mm to 24mm. So if I wanted a set up to 24mm I had to buy the 22mm and the 24mm separatley which cost almost as much as the 18mm to 24mm set. I just wish I could have bought a set that started where this one left off.

Good value. Very please with my Craftsman tools in general. Home owner and shade tree mechanic. Love the large print size identification. Just wish all of my other sockets had them....

I have had nothing but Craftsman hand tools since my first set when I was in the 8th grade in 1960. I am still adding to that original set. I finally had to replace the 1/2" drive ratchet last year as it was getting loose and sticking from 50 years of use. Once I showed the clerk what it was doing there were no questions about the free replacement. I asked if I could have the old one as it was part of the original set I got for my 13th birthday. It is in a frame above my toolbox in the workshop.

These sockets perform exactly like they are supposed to. They are easy to read and durable.

The downfall of this set is the etcing wears off rather quickly if you use the sockets in tight areas. I have this set and 3 of the 9 can be read. Id take them back but your out 8 to 10 days because the stoers dont carry replacements in stock. If you have worn the etching totaly off you run the chance of getting the wrong socket Ive had this happen. Its just not worth all the problems....

they are easy to read only before you use them after that you can't read them and no way of knowing what it is. this goes for all the easy to read sockets. i think they go back to the ingraved kind or ingrave them along bottom (like the old ones ) with the easy to read (like the impact sockets)...
