I like these bypass pruners and I got them on sale for seven dollars instead of the regular thirteen. The blade is hardened and very sharp. They fit together very well and the double dipped handles make for a nice cushion and offer good grip when working with tough branches. They cut living as well...

Most Helpful Critical Review

My wife's previous bypass pruners from another store had broken.  I found these at Sears and bought them for her to use in her garden.

Initially I was a little disappointed to find that when I got home after buying them that they are no longer made in the US.  But with all the quality issues that these...

does the job

I'm going to be honest.  This is not as good as the Friskars one, but these Craftsman Bypass Pruners are also half the price and does the job.  They make nice clean cuts, and even cuts through some decent sized branches.  They even come with a lifetime warranty, so should this ever fail, you can just bring it back to the store for a new one.

My advice is to buy this in the store.  Not every one is created equal.  I looked through about 5 of these before finding one where the blades have a nice tight fit.  Again, if you run into problems, you can always exchange it, but might as well...

Recently I purchased a bypass hand pruner from Sears. At less than $14, I considered it an interim purchase, until I could afford a professional quality model. I have been very pleased with this purchase. It cuts cleanly and almost effortlessly. I've used it for purposes other than the primary, pruning purpose for wich I purchased it. For example, it works well to harvest okra. I'll certainly be purchasing more, and larger, home and garden products from Sears.

Craftsman Bypass Pruner works well, we had a problem with the first one the handle fell off.  We took it back to the store and they exchanged it imediately. I would recommed the Pruner.

Wife says it works great

I got this since our other bypass pruner had a locking mechanism that caused it to lock after every clip annoyingly. The wife says it works great and told me to make a review :)
