The set I received as a gift includes the drill, reciprocating saw, circular saw, jig saw and fluorescent light all powered with the C3 19.2 volt rechargeable batteries.
The drill is very ergonomically designed and quite comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The drill chuck is kind of tricky to use as it seems to require two tightening motions inorder to keep bits from falling out while in use. You have to tighten it once with power applied and then release the trigger and hand-tighten it again. Once you get used to that it seems to function okay. Plenty of wrist-snapping torque!
The riciprocating saw has the much desired quick change blade system utilized on more expensive saws and it works great! No more looking for the allen wrench to loosen or tighten the blade holder. Plenty of power and with the right blade will pretty much cut anything. I really use the recip a lot and it is quite durable. Great for pruning (wife LOVES it on gnarly Rose bushes), cutting nails off when removing door jambs, fence posts, etc.
I have used the jig saw a couple of times and it performs the job adequately. Nice quick change blade system works great.
The circular saw is somewhat underpowered but is easy to control and handle. The laser provides a fairly accurate cutting guide and is switched separately from the saws power switch.
The biggest complaint I have is the C3 battery and charger system. Once the battery is drained you simply place it on the charger and it automatically charges. HOWEVER... it never gets more than a 15% to 20% charge initially. The only way to fully charge the batteries is to constantly exchange them on the charger and each time you put them back on it charges them a little bit more. We have the charger and three batteries by the garage door entrance and every time one of us goes by we swap the batteries. Real pain in the a** but it does eventually fully charge them. BTW... the regular batteries do not hold a charge very long.
I just recently purchased the Lithium-ion battery with charger and that combo works perfectly and solves the problem, hyowever it is quite expensive.
