This is a great circular saw simply because of the freedom of movement while performing your tasks on a given job. However, there is just one limitation from this circular saw compared to its corded brethren: battery life. If you want the freedom to move around while making cuts, then this is absolutely the perfect saw for you provided you also pick up a few batteries, as in more than one battery. This saw will definitely make short work on batteries because it does pull alot of energy to perform its job.
Simply put, this saw is just as good as any corded Craftsman circular saw with the freedom...
read full review »This is now my third C3 tool and have not been disappointed in any of them. For my specific use of around the house, barn and garage repairs. It is so convenient not to have to run extension cords which at times takes longer to do then the job itself. The 7 inch blade and power is available to do any job I have used it on so far. The laser guides I thought would not be of much benefit, but after using the saw, I don't know how I got along without them.
This saw is about 2-3 times more powerful than the c3 trip saw. Good for cutting a few 2x4's. I'll still have to get the ol’ worm drive out to build the fence, but for all the small jobs, it's perfect.
I bought this to use with my C3 NiCad 1/2" Drill and Sawzall as my first circular saw. Now, it is a great saw, no doubt. It has great unique features that set it apart from other similar cordless circular saws such as the laser guide, the standard 7 1/4" blade, and the standard round arbor. The blade size was mainly what sold me, and that I already had batteries and two other tools so it just made sense. AT THE TIME. I got it and bought a new Freud DemoDemon carbide tipped blade to finish it off. The laser guide works great and i bet this would be great as a trim saw, but for general use, look...
