Disappointed In Craftsman

I purchased this drill Feb. 08. I used it lightly for 54 weeks around my home. This is not a commercial use. There were weeks and even months I did not use the drill. At 54 weeks the drill has apearantly stripped the gear or clutch mechanism. The motor runs fine but does not deliver torque to the chuck. Craftsman has flatly denied any warranty consideration. My last cordless drill (not Craftsman) I used for 15 years and it was still running (batteries were wore out!). I own many Craftsman tools and have felt that Craftsman typically offers reasonable quality at a fair price. I cannot recommend this drill. Unfortunately my faith in Craftsman to live up to reasonable expectations has been dealt a severe blow. There are many other brands of quality power tools available that I will now choose from.
