This 19.2 volt impact driver is a good value for the money!  This impact driver is very capable of removing stubborn fasteners.  The 19.2 volt battery gives the user a long work period before needing recharged!   The quick change chuck is a handy feature to have.  Unlike conventional bit...

A battery killer.

I bought this for working on my truck, and also trying to use for building an exterie staircase.  It works awesome for about a dozen screws, but it kills the battery so fast.  I have 3 19.2 batteries and all of them fully charged weren't enough for putting down 12 stair treads/railings/ballusters.

Very Nice

This impact driver is very nice.  I never thought that I needed one, boy was I wrong.  It makes screwing projects very easy.  I'm convinced that everyone needs an impact driver.  I no longer have to change bits on my drill in order to go from drilling to screwing.  I like that!

A Great time saver

I used this tool to assemble a three slide play set for my grand kids. This is one BIG play set. The 2 and 3 inch deck screw were so easy. But what really surprised me was how it handled 3/8 x 4-1/2 inch lag bolts no problem at all. Use the Lithium Ion battery and you will not be disappointed. The only thing that you have to watch is how sensitive the trigger is. If you are not careful you can drive the screws right though the wood. But if anyone asked me. I would tell them to buy this tool and only use a drill for drilling not to drive screws.

I should have bought this a long time ago

Very easy to use and change bits. I use it for all of my driving needs. Eliminates the twist you get from a regular driver and also virtually eliminates the stripping of a screw head that normally happens with longer screws. I would advise purchasing strong bits and avoid cheap ones because the it tends to twist the cheap bit's tip and break with this tool.

5 stars

I bought this to help out with my job-I assemble bikes and such, (practically everything for major retailers) and the $160+ price tag of the impact, charger, and batteries EASILY paid for itself the very next day at work. For assembling bikes, it quickly and easily torques everything easily to make sure it doesn't fall apart, and for the larger wood swingsets, the lag screws (all sizes, mind you) don't stand a chance. Only minor gripe is about the 3/8 socket adapter I had to buy...this thing twists them like pretzels.

Craftsman Impact Driver

When I first got the Impact driver I could not believe how well it worked. It drove everything I asked it to without a problem. (I use this primarily for construction, driving screws into wood.) Battery outlasted a Dewalt easy. (all the Dewalt guys that gave me a hard time are always looking for a charged battery.) I have had this tool a little over a year when my problem started. One day the tool would not free wheel. I though it was a fluke when it started working again. The next job it locked up again. I took the nose off and saw a washer loose in clutch mechanism. I aligned the washer and it... read full review »

a powerhouse

of all the cordless items out there, this one is the must have of must haves. I have always been wary of cordless tools because the lack of torque, short lived batteries, and tendencies to round out screws. With the impact feature on this driver, that all becomes no problem. The touch sensitive trigger provides total control, which makes it easy to wrangle in the torque on this driver. I myself use it on the farm during hay season to change bolt on sickle sections, and it's like a third hand. my only complaint is that this drill is hard to buy separately in store. usually you have to buy a drill... read full review »

Finally!!! No more rounded screws!

I love my Craftsman cordless drill. It has excellent speed and torque, but it has always given me fits when trying to drive screws(all cordless drills, not just the Craftsman). Anybody who has ever felt the urge to throw their drill across the room because it couldn't drive a simple screw needs to get one of these impact drivers. It can drive a 2" screw through 2x4s without a pilot hole, and get this...it will even do that while holding it lefthanded and backwards with my thumb on the trigger!!! Absolutely amazing. I'll still keep my cordless drill around, but I will never drive another screw... read full review »

The Go-To tool of the C3 line!

Have to agree with the other reviews here. This little guy is the first tool I reach for in almost every project. It has the power, torque and size to get most jobs done.

Low-cost, high-performance champ

As a shop foreman for a high-end furniture/cabinet shop, we've used drills and drivers from all of the 'major' manufacturers, and, I have yet to find one brand that is better than the rest. And when it came time to buy another drill/driver set, I decided to give the 19.2v Craftsman set a try, regardless of the , "Craftsman, you're kidding, right" comments. Well, five months later, and everyone's surprised and impressed by their performance and reliability, logging 50 to 65 hrs a week of production work! And, at less than 1/2 the cost of the other major brands, I've been able to supply a set to... read full review »

Nifty little tool

This is a very useful tool. It's light and compact. Perfect for screwing in lag screws or would screws or even some of the smaller machine screws. Delivers lots of power without twisting your arm off like s conventional drill. Good job sears, it's a good buy.

Impact

I purchased the 19.2v calk gun and since I had the battery, It made sinse to purchase other devices that worked on that lithium-Ion battery. The impact works great although it's 1/4 inch shank is limiting. Sears needs to have a bigger one to rotate tires with. You can drive screws into hard wood without the bit slipping. I like the newer 20 volt battery connection better.
