I enjoy the new battery charger which can charge both the Li-ion and the Ni-cad batteries.  Just recently exchanged charger. The one I had died. Several of my co-workers have Sears Craftsman cordless power tools.  When they need an extra charger for their Ni-cads they use Li-ion.  The charges that...

This is the second 19.2 Lithium-ion battery charger I've had to buy. That's not good! The first one destroyed three batteries that I had to replace before I found out that the charger was killing the batteries. The total batteries ruined were 3. My 19.2 Nicad batteries have been working for almost... read full review »

Misleading product application

From the included manual: "This product will charge Craftsman 19.2v lithium-ion battery packs & Craftsman 14.4-19.2v nickel-cadmium battery packs". It certainly does not charge Craftsman 18v ni-cad battery pack with part # 1323520. After taking a closer look at a 19.2v (#130279005) & the 18v ni-cad pack side by side, even though they both have 4 prongs on the bottom, the plastic housing surrounding them are reversed 180° on the 18v compared to the 19.2v. There are 2 steps, diagonally across from each other, inside the charger that don't allow the 18v battery to drop in to place. The steps match...

Works good

Works great, lets you know the status.  Only drawback is that you need to remember to take the battery out after it is charged.  Not a big deal as fast as it charges batteries.

New charger works great!

I have a drill and saber saw along with light. I got a charger with the drill and baught 2 extra batteries. My problem was when the battery was out of power, I would put it in the charger and the green light came on indicating a full charge. It would not charge the battery until it set overnight.  I took the charger back to Sears but thay would not exchange it unless I had the receipt.  The drill with charger was given to me as a Christmas gift and I didn't use or discover the problem until 4 months later. I was very discussed with Sears and was ready to give all the tools back; however, I purchased...

This Charger is FAST!

I was really surprised to see how fast this charger, charges ni-cad batteries.  I went and made coffee, came back and the battery was charged, and it was a NEW battery.

I've used Craftman tools all my life and found them to be the best value for the money. They've helped me with many projects and I can always depend on their quality.

overcharging kills battery

I have two batteries for each of my craftsman drills. I do not use the same product every day. When I leave a battery in a craftsman charger for a long period of time, the battery gets destroyed. I called craftsman and they told me that they make no charger that stops charging when the battery is fully charged. This is unacceptable. I have decided to leave craftman after 40 years and buy Ryobi..... This way I will always have a charged battery ready for use.

inverter friendly

works well with power inverter(modified sine wave type)for those who want to carge the batteries while on the road between jobs.also charges the older c3 batts.

Always uses power

This charger constantly pulls between 0-3 watts of power when there is no battery in it, or when a full battery is in it. I recommend using it only if you need the quick charging capability. Otherwise the Craftsman 19.2V Compact Lithium-Ion Battery Pack and Charger is a much better deal; although it delivers a slower charge, it uses no energy when left plugged in without a battery, or with a fully charged battery.

Was a bit confused with the lights, but a quick call into customer service explained that only the top two lights will light. The others are only indicators of what the top two will look like.

Battery Charger issues

I had receaved from a family member 4 pack set with 2 battery and a charger and my problem is that each time I try to charge the battery the green light will go on saying the charge is complete. I don't know if he had the same problem or what but when this started on me and don't work I'm scare to buy a charge and do the same thing? I know is a good product, I my self use all kind of sears product for many years ......
