Rugged and Comfortable

I live on a ranch and wear these jeans through just about every outdoor condition imaginable. They are as flexible and comfortable as any other jeans but a heck of a lot tougher. They have yet to show any real sign of weakness or wear and I've had them for about year. Teflon coating is even resistant... read full review »

Quality has gone WAY down.

I have been wearing Craftsman work pants for many years.  The last order was disappointing, and they do not deserve to have the Craftsman tag.  Fabric is much lighter weight, bar tacking at stress points is gone, hammer loop is too big to even hold a hammer.  On top of that, ordered on-line, and the...

Craftsman Carpenter Jeans

Today, I purchased a pair of the Craftsman Carpenter Jeans.  The reason for the purchase of this particular brand was the sale price.  As they were more than half off and seemed to be well made, I purchased a pair.

The only problem I had with selection is size.  The sizes available were either a bit long or a bit big in the waiste.  Other than that, I am happy with them.  There was no apparent shrinking when I washed and dried them and they fit fairly well.  They are also comfortable to wear.

The pluses of these particular jeans are price and how well made they appear to be.  They also state...

Not as good as they used to be.

I've been purchasing Craftsman Jeans for the last 3-4 years, and they have always been very durable, thick and stain resistant. My old jeans are getting sort of worn, and I got a hole from getting it caught on some rebar, so I ordered some new ones. I ordered 3 pairs of the Carpenter jeans and all of them were very thin material. They felt like they were half the thickness of what I am used to, and I just had to return them because I couldn't trust that I wouldn't rip a whole in the the first time I wore them. I do a great deal of tile and concrete work, and they just didn't feel like they were... read full review »

Poor quality

I ordered these for my husband and on the first time he wore them, the button came out. It's not just a sewn on button, it's the metal kind that I will have to have replaced professionally or just toss the pants. What a waste and a disappointment!!!

Lightweight Material

Last year I purchase a few pairs of this carpenter jean. I was very pleased with the construction and performance of the product. Pleased enough to buy two more pairs this year. Much to my surprise. My latest purchase was manufactured with a much lighter material. If you work in a tropical climate and don't kneel often you should be pleased with this product. However if you live in a colder climate and find yourself kneeling down often to perform various tasks I feel you will ultimately be very disappointed in your purchase.

great jeans

I was looking for some heavier duty jeans and found these craftsman jeans on sale. I did not know that they made jeans. These are very comfortable, I wear 34x34 (5'10, 190lbs)and these fit me better than levis or arizona. I have washed them several times and they still look new. Sale price is around 20 bucks and that is hard to beat.
