This saw is the right saw for the home owner who dosen't need a huge tool to do simple repairs, I'ts the right size and weight for most any thing the casual user can possibly think to use it for. It has all the power you will ever need to cut any lumber for the normal to more than usual user of cutting tools. Wish i'd gotten one sooner. Go Craftsman!!!
I'm here to tell you that the Sears Craftsman circular saw will stand up to just about anything. I've had mine for approximately 30 years and it just now bit the dust. I have used it over the years in rainy weather, but under cover, snow, the dead of winter and the extreme heat we have here in Kansas. The saw had become noisy over the years and I knew it would'nt be long. I have used it to cut wood, masonry, steel, aluminium and rocks and it still continued to run.
