Craftsman Craftsman Tractor Maintenance Review

My brand new lawn tractor suffered a major stroke and died just prior to Memorial Day.  I called the My Home number on the receipt and talked to a very nice young lady who told me due to the large number of calls in our area, I would have have to wait until June 8 before a repairman could make it to the house.  So I toddled out my old craftsman push mower, put gas in it and lo it started right up as usual and I mowed the yard the old way.  On Jun 7 I received a call from Sears reminding me that the repairman would be at my home the next day and sure nough there he came.  He inspected the mower, discovered that a factory malfuntion (a piece of metal had actually broken holding the blade engagement lever)had occurred and said he had to order the part which he did right there on his puter in the truck.  He said the part would be delivered to my house by the following Monday and he would return to repair it.  Thus I troddled out my old craftsman and mowed the lawn again.  The following monday he called and asked if the part had come in and I said no so he gave me his number and told me to call him when it did (He did call the parts center and they said it would be shipped that day).  Lo and behold at 4:45 that day the part arrived so I called him back and he said he would try to be over the next morning.  He called me early the next morning, saying he was on the way.  He arrived and repaired the mower in an expert manner, checked over several other things like the brakes and even taught me about putting the brakes on and getting off the seat while the mower was running.  So I want you all to know that Larry Valdez is an excellent representative for Sears, and knows his product and assists customers in an outstanding manner.  I hope he receives a pat on the back for a job well done. Now my tractor mower is vrooooooooming again.
