My dad had a dog bone wrench (maybe not Craftsman) 50 years ago and it was one of his primary tools. This wrench has 8 different size sockets and the handle swivels to any position. It can be used where a deep-well socket is required because the bolt can go up through the socket. The magnet on the handle... read full review »

I ordered these after reading the warnings online about poor build quality. Turns out the warnings were correct and I had to return it for another because the wrench had trouble locking into position. I looked @ all the ones on display and most of them had the same characteristic due to shoddy build...

This is a useful socket tool for people who don't need perfect tools and who don't want to carry around a set of tools. Dunno if I would get it if I were a professional mechanic, but for the homeowner or in the trunk of a car it's a useful addition. So far, the tool has been handy for those sorts of quick jobs that don't require more precise wrenches. As for heft, it seems about right--certainly would not want it to be any thinner. It is true that the sockets don't seem to be as closely machined as they could be, but, again, this isn't a tool for fine work. On the other hand, the open socket design...

A good tool for your home toolbox. Saves space,

Is kinda bulky for tight spots, but for general usage its good.

Craftsman DOG BONE SAE Wrench

This wrench is a little to bulky for what I wanted but if you are working in a open area it is good not good for tight spaces

The Dog Bone wrench is a very handy tool to have as long as you are not working in a tight space.  Saves taking a whole set of wrenches to the job.  It is perfect for jobs with plenty of space and you don't have to "guess" what size socket you need, you have them all right at your fingertips.  My husband likes his so well, I am planning to buy them for his brother on his birthday.  Terrific idea...  And Craftsman tools with their forever warranty are always a plus in my husband's workshop.

It is great

I am a person who never picks the right size wrench the first time. Now instead of getting up and down until I get the right wrench, I go prepared with the right one every time. Three cheers for the dog bone.

Very good product seems to have all the perfect sizes for your everyday use!

Just Perfect!

I forever lose bits and pieces, so with this all on one handle, perhaps I will be able to keep track of it a bit better. Plus, although I am quite intelligent, I never can tell which socket I will need and always choose the wrong size (at least twice!). Wish me luck.

Super idea

Bought this as a Christmas present on someones list. After seeing it I thought it would be a very useful item around the house or in the garage. Less tools laying around.

being that jack of all trades and perfect at none, i have to have a tool box that is as light as i can get. nothing more shameful than grabbing the wrong size wrench and the embarrassment that goes with it. such a perfect hip wrench that takes care of multitude of nuts and bolts and takes up the room of one tool. air gun might take it all apart fast but these dog bone wrench can change sizes quicker than a socket master. right tool for the right (in a hurry) job.

As some have already stated these are made in China so when these first came out I stayed away from them, but after looking more into them I decided that I would give them a try. They seem very beefy and well made to me compared to any other Craftsman tool that I own although I did have to search through the ones in the store to find ones that spun the way that I thought they should(some spun too freely and some wouldn't hardly spin at all). I was looking for something that I could use in a situation where I needed a wrench for a quick job without having to carry my entire tool set. These are perfect...

Easy and simple to use.

Nice to have multiple socket sizes in one tool.

You cannot beat these wrenches or the price tag. Great buy.
