Very Organized

This product is great, but i like it is expensive for only two foam sheets, four would be perfects for the price, but overall i love this, keeps my tools organized and lets me know if i'm missing any tools. It did take forever to cut out all 57 of my screw drivers.

Good Organization, Time consuming..

I bought a couple of these, and I do like them. They are pretty sturdy, about 1/4" thick and must be trimed to fit. The only draw back that I see, was the time and effort it takes to actually trace, and cut-out the foam. Also the knife they provide is complete JUNK, I suggest purchasing another utility... read full review »

Craftsman Tool Kit Organization

I've been using these organizers for years. I do agree with all the previous reviews on price and difficulty. It is expensive for two pieces...four pieces would be a better deal. As far as cutting out the pieces, this is what I do. I use the not so great knife provided, but I also wipe down the knife after each cut with some GOO-GONE to remove the sticky film that gets on the knife from the white tracing sheet. That sticky film makes it really difficult to cut out the whole sheet. You also need a lot of patience, that's the key. I have several drawers lined with the foam. Everybody in the shop... read full review »

Foam Drawer Organizer

Tend to agree that the foam is very expensive. Don't really know why foam rubber is so expensive other than profit motivation. I found that if I used an heated knife the foam cut alot easier and the final appearance was very nice. I also didn't use the paper the way it was intended, I thought it didn't stick very well. Sockets and other straight items was easy to draw on the paper then applied to the foam with pins. I also made wooden boxes that I placed the foam in, that way I could stack my "tool trays" in my cabinet getting 2 or 3 tray height depending on the height of the tool cabinet drawer.... read full review »

This was really nice to organize sockets

I really like the fact that craftsman made easy read sockets. But until now storing them was not so easy. We bought this kit to organize my boyfriend's impact sockets. It was definitly a good investment. I love the fact that now we can tell if a socket is missing. This product is time consuming though. I ended up doing this for my boyfriend because he does not have the patience for this type of stuff. It took me about an hour to use up one sheet. But I really thought this was fun, it was cool being able to organize your stuff the way you want. I did not use the knife that came with the kit I used... read full review »

Craftsman 204 pc tool kit has most everything you ever need at home or when travelling. My kit is used extensively for nearly every tool need. Kit is very handy to store and carry. I always keep mine in my truck where it is most used, but still convenient at home. A small price to pay for more than a 'lifetime' of dependable service. Buy your kids one so they won't borrow yours and your grandkids will remember you when they inherit yours.

tool box foam

I love the result. But the blade supplied broke and was dull before job was finished. Also, is pretty expensive for only 2 sheets of foam.

2 stars

Not enough foam for the money. Time consuming to cut out. Knife that is included is a joke. Looks nice when finished, but just too much money for two small pieces of foam. Won't be buying this again. Can't win them all.

Worth the hassle

Manufacturing companies are moving toward a more streamlined, no hassle work area, thanks to Lean Manufacturing Principles. As an electronic techinician, my toolbox was unorganized and tools unaccounted for. These mats made my toolboxes a model and example for others in my factory. I will admit it does take time to lay-out your tools, trace them and then cut them all out, but the organization is incredible. Make sure you keep your knife sharp. I sharpened my knife about every 10 minutes to keep the cutting smooth and easy. Be patient with the set-up process and the results will be impressive.

Foam is Expensive and Low Quality

I purchased this product for sorting my tools and found the foam to not only be difficult to cut but also brittle in cold weather. I would have liked to see pre-cut foam or possibly pick-a-square foam like the foam used in Pelican Cases.

great product

It does require a little patience to trace and cut out the foam but once in place it is just dandy. You will know instantly if a tool is missing. I have been using my liners for years now with little sign of wear and tear. The product is great although I do wish there was more of it for the price.

Tricks of the trade

This might seem a little expensive for 2 sheets of foam for your tools but for those who like to have their tools organized, or for those whose work likes their tools organized, this is a must. Set up all of the tools you want to fit on that piece of foam before you start to make sure it fits and looks the way you want it to. Use a carpenters pencil to trace your tools. Keep a bottle cap handy or something of that sort to make finger holes for those tools that could be hard to get out. I like to make a straight line through the wrenches for the same reason. Put your foam on a piece of card board;... read full review »

Excellent product

Excellent product for the money. Used it to shadow two drawers in my Classic 78 box. Definitely will be buying more of this stuff for my other drawers. It's really rather cheap compared to other places. The foam seems really durable. The included knife is junk. I tossed it and went straight for a razor blade.
