Just purchased my second one of these because I lost my other one and can't stand to be with out it any longer. The first one of these I bought I used regularly, week by week, and it was driving me crazy not being able to find it. It is very well-made but I sure wish it was made in the USA. The clip...

These are more like a pocket knife.  I don't recommend these because the police might try to kill you, or cause you a lot of grief for simply being in posession of one regardless of what state you are in.  Mine is in my set of tools in my workshop and I have used it once.  I was not very comfortable...

Craftsman Folding Lockback Utility Knife Reviews

This is an excellent utility knife and would be the only one you need to get. I own several different brands and styles of the folding utility knife and this one exceeds all in performance, design, and style. That wood grain sure does look nice and the leather pouch is also handy. The folding blade is not scary.

My wife bought the Craftsman lockblade utility knife as a gift for me. I had wanted one, but just never got around to buying it. Now, I own one. This knife is a great tool, and I am delighted my wife it to me. The knife is very handy anytime you need a sharp blade. I use mine quite frequently. In fact, every time I go outside, I put the knife on my belt.

The rosewood handles give the knife a very good appearance and make it easy to grip. The blades are very sharp but can be changed without difficulty. They are readily available at Sears.

The leather sheath appears to be okay. The belt loop...

I replaced a ************** utility knife with this one. The HF knife has a poorly designed blade locking system that allows the blade to come out doing menial tasks. The Craftsman double locking system is much more substantial. I found less expensive knifes with a similar locking system but I found the wood handles irresistible. very nice to look at. The case is a plus.

I have bought this knife for myself and all of my boys. It is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. It's rugged, durable and I love the fact that it has a clip as well. It is made in China, which for the money, that is expected, most knives that are made in the US cost three times as much, but they don't have the warranty like this one does. I would also want to know if the holster is covered under the warranty.

Best knife I've ever owned

This is by far the most convenient knife I have ever owned. No more need for a screwdriver to change the blade. Perfect for the price!

Craftsman Utility Knife

This Craftsman Utility Knife is really great! It is reasonably priced and is super sharp! I took it fishing and it proved to be an awesome addition to my tackle box!! My only suggestion to that it could be made a bit smaller so I can carry it in my pocket.

Don't bother with any other brand name utility knife get a craftsman and you set for life. I open hundreds of boxes a day and big or small my craftsman cuts them open! Has a nice leather case. Love the wood looking handle. Only bought becayse I loved my other Craftsman knife so much.

By far the best utility knife I have ever had. Can get it around Black Friday for about $8 and at that price it is a great value. Overall quality is good and it feels solid in your hand. Blade changes are easy, but don't plan to have one hand operation for it, if you need that buy a different one. This is just a good solid cutter that is put together well and looks nice too.

I had this very knife and i used it for a good month month in a half daily. It worked really good, but then one day i was carrying it along with some other tools and the knife slipped out of my hands from waist high and all the little screws on the side popped out!! What a joke this knife doens't deserve the Craftsman name what garbage!!

Wrong Item Picture

The picture of this item is not what Sears is selling, at least not what I bought. In the picture not only is the blade latch hinge backwards but the manufacture name clearly says Sheffield not Craftsman. Otherwise this tool has a nice beefy feel to it, more like a quality folding knife and has a lifetime warranty from Sears.

i lost my knife at the start of winter 2009,when summer came i was doing some yard work when i found it laying open in front of my work shop. it had been mashed in in to the ground, and was packed with mud. like most utility knifes of this type i was about to throw it away knowning it had seen its better days after 6 months in the snow and rain.but after looking at it i took out the blade, used wd to clean it,to my sock there was no rust and the wood handles were not rotted. whipped it off put in new blade, it new and have been using it now at least a year with no problems!! when loose this one(i...

folding utility knives are the best

If you haven't tried a folding utility knive of this kind, do yourself a favor and RUN out to get one.  The knives of this design are very solid.  There is no play with the knife blade no matter how hard you push down on it.  You have total control over the blade, which is something that not all utility knives can claim.

This particular Craftsman Folding Utility Knife is a good example of this kind of knife.  It has nice wood inlays and is very thick and solid.  It feels great in hand and will definitely survive years of use and abuse.
