I purchased this utiity knife for my 20 year old son as a Christmas gift. The knife is well made and durable. Cuts up card board boxes easily. It looks sharp in its leather carrying case. I would recommend this knife...it makes a great gift!

This is a must have in my line of work. The fact that I can clip it onto my pocket means that it is a part of a "uniform" as it were, even though I don't where one. I go from one area to the next and the first thing I do is "pat" my pocket to make sure that I didn't forget my utliity knife at the last work station. Did I mention easy to use? A quick flip and the old blade pops out, I dispose of that properly; then pop a new blade in and close the locking mechanism. I'm ready for my next project and I do change blades often! I've used lots of Utility Knives in my line of work, trial and error! These are consistently solid and durable, and there is nothing better than knowing whatever tool you are are using, the tool is solid and capable of getting the job done. Yes, I would have preferred they were made in the USA and if I were to find better knife then I would consider switching. But, I can't and I need a good tool and belive it or not, this tool has gotten me out of some "interesting"......

I work in networking, running all types of cables from fiber to copper. I usually use a good pair of snips to cut through all the shielding and Kevlar, but every time they get dull I have to buy a new pair. The Craftsman Utility Knife cuts just as well if not better, and I get to cut down on my expenses. Now if my blade gets a little dull or rusty it's a quick 5 second fix, literally. The Utility Knife also has a locking mechanism so you don't have to worry about it folding up and cutting yourself. In the end it's an awesome knife and an awesome price.

This utility knife is really nice, safe, and easy to use. This is the first utility knife that I have actually taken care of...it is a very handsome looking knife as well as a first rate working knife.

The Craftsman Utility knife is sturdy and well made. Made like a regular pocket knife, the folding blade is sharp and folds away when not needed. Careful though... It is sharp.

I work at a boat yard and carry this knife all day. I have had quite a few and lost them. The only small downfall to these knives are the are a little stiff out of the box, and take a couple weeks use to break in so they can be opened with one hand easily.

My wife bought the Craftsman lockblade utility knife as a gift for me. I had wanted one, but just never got around to buying it. Now, I own one. This knife is a great tool, and I am delighted my wife it to me. The knife is very handy anytime you need a sharp blade. I use mine quite frequently. In fact, every time I go outside, I put the knife on my belt.

The rosewood handles give the knife a very good appearance and make it easy to grip. The blades are very sharp but can be changed without difficulty. They are readily available at Sears.

The leather sheath appears to be okay. The belt loop on the back looks a little thin, but it has held up well so far (three months of heavy use). At this time, I can not say anything negative about it.

Overall, the knife is an excellent tool and has the quality I have come to expect from Craftsman tools. I highly recommend it!

Just purchased my second one of these because I lost my other one and can't stand to be with out it any longer. The first one of these I bought I used regularly, week by week, and it was driving me crazy not being able to find it. It is very well-made but I sure wish it was made in the USA. The clip on the knife keeps it securely and conveniently in my pocket and easily accessible.

The blend of quality metal and wood makes me proud to own this tool. It also comes with a nice leather sheath if you don't want to carry it directly in your pocket. Watch for this item to go on sale for @ $7.49. That's 50% off. For this great price I would highly recommend this utility knife as a great gift for any guy in your life. It's also the perfect size for a stocking stuffer. Then the next years later you can get him a pack of refills and he'll thank you for it. It's easy to change the blades out. Sure it sharp and potentially dangerous but it is a knife.

This is an excellent utility knife and would be the only one you need to get. I own several different brands and styles of the folding utility knife and this one exceeds all in performance, design, and style. That wood grain sure does look nice and the leather pouch is also handy. The folding blade is not scary.

Don't bother with any other brand name utility knife get a craftsman and you set for life. I open hundreds of boxes a day and big or small my craftsman cuts them open! Has a nice leather case. Love the wood looking handle. Only bought becayse I loved my other Craftsman knife so much.
