This mower is superb! It starts easily, easier than any mower I have owned. It has plenty of torque to handle very thick and tall grass. The variable speed drive can pull you slowly or quickly if you prefer. Why I am not recommending this mower is the handle design itself. It is the most uncomfortable... read full review »

This morning was the second time I used this mower purchased a couple of weeks ago. It started fine, mowed a while, then I had to stop it to move a branch. It would not start after several pulls, etc.Frustrated, I left it in the yard to let it rest for a few minutes. Then it started again. When I stopped... read full review »

Our previous lawnmower failed after four years useage. So we bought the Craftsman mower with the Honda engine - an excellent choice! Putting the mower together only took about ten minutes. We extended the handle and tightened the plastic wing nuts then poured the oil (supplied) into the machine. It started second light pull! First impressions is the mower is fast. This is a good thing because we have 1/2 acre of grass. I think it cut down our mowing time from 1 hour 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Definitely faster than our previous mower. The engine is awesome. It has a low, throated sound... read full review »

Took about 5 minutes to assemble handle and add oil. Started on the very first pull. Variable speed self-propelled function really works well. When fully engaged, this mower is VERY fast. If you can keep up, this will take about 25% off of the time it usually takes with other self-propelled mowers. Plus, it has a 22" cutting path instead of a 20" or 21". I really like the Honda engine. Much simpler and easy to get at than a Briggs. This mower PLOWS through the thick stuff and mulches finer than any other mower I've had. The hose-out attachment is very nice as well and will eliminate the need to... read full review »

I have a medium sized lawn care service that was in need of a decent, but affordable push mower. The self propel and bagging was overkill but I have used honda powered equipment for several years and highly prefer them over briggs. I will say that it started on the first pull after adding oil and fuel. It restarted just fine and ran "honda" smooth. I have read the other reviews and am sorry to hear others had issues, and i hope i dont have the same problems down the road. The self propel is nice and smooth, and very fast at full speed. I have not used the bagging system but it does mulch well.... read full review »

This lawn mower is absolutely the best I have ever used. I did a lot of research and decided that this one met all of my needs. This is exactly the same model they sell at a Memebership type club with a different brand name but this one has a few extra features that made it stand out. First of all to the reviewer that could not keep it running after 50 feet, there is a fuel safety switch that you have to turn on so the fuel can reliably get to the motor. You had yours off. It allows enough gas in the fuel line to start but will quit after a 30 seconds if it is not on. Anywaym I must compliment... read full review »

I am a new home owner and now have 1.5 acres to mow. I have used it 3 times. It "assembled" quickly, started easily, and mowed well. The second time I used it, I couldn't get it to start. Thought I had a piece of junk. After starting it, I realized the problem was I was trying to start it in high-grass. I lifted the mower as I pulled the cord and it started right up (keep in mind I choke it at first start). The third use was in really high grass due to rain, fertilizer, and being out of town. I choked it, lifted slightly so the blades were not in the grass (not recommending you do this unless you... read full review »

Bought this mower on Sunday, used it on Monday on thick, wet grass. Mower never stopped on me no matter how thick the grass (I have some parts that were really tall and thick - my prior 6.5hp mower would stall out on me) - on the vast majority of my lawn the cut was excellent and even. Speed is more than adequate - I cut in record time and was not worn out (I have .69 acres). Very nice ergonomics and a lot of very useful and well thought out touches - the way the grass catcher attaches is very nice and easy to put on and take off - grass easily comes out of the bag - very good feature. Highly recommend.... read full review »

I just did my half acre lawn over. The grass is growing like crazy with all of the early summer rain. I was going for a 2000.00 rider but opted for this push mower so i could still get some exercise. What a breeze...this mower is great. The "precision-cut" slices the grass into tiny pieces and there is no clipping showing. The height adjustment is amazingly simple. The bagger is easy on and off. Great design features since my last mower purchase. No fuel bulb to push, the auto choke works very well. The only thing missing is the cup holder...:)

Honda engine with Craftsman features, a perfect combination! The engine is very smooth and powerful. Craftsman's high rear wheel, EZ control, and self propelled motor compliments the motor very well. The easy start feature is really easy to start. I am very satisfy and would recommend this product to others. It is worth paying extra money over other lawn mowers.

I returned this mower as my wife was unable to adjust the deck height due to the excessive tension on the height adjustment pins. Also the weight distribution was unbalance, which made it difficult for my wife. This is not a female freindly lawn mower.

bought this mower for my wife as she has a hard time pull starting my 3 year old briggs and stratton. it takes me 3 to 4 good pulls to get her going but she has alot of hours on her. overall its a nice looking mower and with a honda motor i thought it would run with no problems. set it up added oil and gas and my wife started it with 1 pull and off she went. about 50 feet up it stalled,(in not very tall grass) so i go on out and bring it back to level ground i pull it and it starts and immediately stalls again.then several more pulls and nothing all awhile resetting the auto choke. so i let it... read full review »

This mower is a great mower for the price.  I love the Honda engine.  Very easy to start - first pull every time even when cold starting.  I never had a mower like that before!  Plenty of speed even up a slight hill and mowing thick grass.  The EZ Deck Washing feature is really bizarre and really cool.  The handle is a little awkward but for this price, you are not going to get perfection!  I highly recommend this mower.

Every time!!! This machine is amazing. I never experienced such a well made mower before. And its extremely easy to use. If Im about to run over a stick or pine cone, Ill stop the mower, remove the debris, tilt back the mower and it starts right back up. Also, its very good on gas. I cut my lawn(property is a little less than a 1/4 acre) 3 times before having to fill it back up. The self propelled FWD system is flawless and definitely helps going up hill and from a dead start. Even the wifey has no problems starting it. Def recommend this mower to anyone.
