The Craftsman Hydraulic Stool is the perfect accessory to any and every garage. The only thing better than this is a set of them with the matching table that I have on order. Assembly is easier with your own tools than the ones it came with but it didn't take me long to assemble both of mine. The only gripe I have is that the back rest could be more sturdier. Adjusting the back rest in and out (not up and down) can be a bit wobbly. A cross-member could alleviate this issue. Aside from that I don't have any gripes. read full review »Got mine for Xmas probably 2 yrs ago. Still works just fine. I like the stability of the base, I can move it from workbech to PC station and I don't get any racking or flex. As another stated, the backrest is great for when you need a "think break". Worked from many different types of stools (much more expensive than this one) over the years, at all sorts of workbenches, and this would stack up against any of them.

The Craftsman Hydraulic Stool is fantastic!!! I am a musician (bass player) and have been looking for a stool that first of all is padded, is adjustable, and had a short back support. When I spotted this Craftsman Hydraulic Stool, it had everything that I was looking for in a stool. So not only is it a work stool, but also a musician's stool now!!
I got this on sale at Black Friday back in November. I have looked at this stool in past and now have a garage space for it. It is easy to assemble and very high quality. I have the black one, but would have gotten the blue or red if available at the time.
This was the easiest thing I ever put together. The only downside is that you need a second person to hold it while you put the screws in. Very comfortable and looks great in my shop.
I have had my eye on one of these stools for a while now but I felt the $80 price tag was a bit expensive for what it was. But when I saw it on sale for $50 I knew it was time to pick one up. It took about 20 minutes to put together. Probably would have been a little quicker if I didn't forget the re-enforcement plate and have to take it back apart. The directions are not what I would expect from a craftsman product but luckily it's just a chair so it's not too hard to figure out what goes where.

I recently purchased The craftsman hydraulic stool during a three day special sale. I used store pickup to save shipping so it was really a good deal. Everything was in the box no missing srews or etc.
What I noticed right away is that the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Not so with some other stools I have ordered. They even had the basic tools you need to assemble the stool even if you didn't have any tools of your own.
The stool went together easily and I found it to be sturdy and well padded. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a good well designed shop stool...

I purchased this seat several months ago. I had been looking for a seat so my 85 year old mother would have something comfortable and easy to use especially when she cans. I have looked at other stools but she did not like them. This was on sale for a very good price. She sat in the floor display and really liked it. So, it's kept in the kitchen for ease of use. Sometimes I even use it. It's perfect height for her at the stove when she's canning foods. We enjoy DIY projects. We enjoy finding/creating ideas.
