I bought the Craftsman key less entry pad to replace my old unit I had received with the Craftsman door opener many years ago. I had been having trouble with the old unit and it finally stopped working.

I was worried about buying this new unit because the programing of the unit might be difficult I...

Can't Car and Keypad In Sync

I too am having the problem of keeping my car, a remote, and this keyless unit all working at the same time. I did not have this issue before. I purchased this unit as a replacement for another one that was no longer working in cold weather (worked when it warmed up).

Easy to program and install

Followed the directions in the package. Setting the keypad to work with my garage door opener took seconds. Installation was a breeze.

exact replacement of wornout keypad works

My old keypad had been in use since May, 1997. The keypad has been getting more difficult to key correctly for the last few years. I changed and checked the voltage of the battery. I suspect that the keys were wearing out. I found my old receipt which I checked against the back of the old keypad. I went to the Sears website to see if I could find an exact replacement. I did. I bought it on the web for delivery to a local Sears. Within a few minutes I received an e-mail telling me that it was available for pickup at the Sears store. I picked it up and brought it home. When I opened the package... read full review »

Keyless entry pad

I am hardly ever in a vehicle with the remote and it allows me entry to my motorcycle garage whenever I feel the urge to ride.

Great if equivalent

I couldn't find the keyless entry pad I have--a Liftmaster Chamberlain 65 LM. I dunno, maybe they don't sell wired pads any more. But if the ones Sears sells now hold up like mine, you can look forward to many years of service. Mine is probably 18 years old and it quit working last week. Turns out the battery died. AND THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL BATTERY!

Keyless Entry Limited Use

I purchased the keyless entry and it programmed easily. But, my car remotes were then de-programmed. When I re-programmed the car remotes, the keyless pad became de-programmed. I have done thsis process over and over again. In the end, I cannot use both together. I can only use either the car remotes. or the keyless alone. but not together. The keyless pad is going back for a refund.. Very frustrating.

Works very well

I bought this replacement entry pad because its identical predecessor had given up the ghost after around 9 years of faithful service. I suspect that that repeated use of the same entry code keys over the years had simply worn out those particular digits. Maybe we could have evened out the wear across the buttons by changing the code every year or two. Anyway, it works far better that the old one, & is in the same neutral gray color (albeit unfaded), which adds a certain understated elegance to the house.

Garage Door Opener

I am pleased with the ease of programming. My only gripe, and it may be me, but I sometimes have to enter the code more than once to get the door to open. I know that it is close enough to the overhead unit as its less than 15 feet away. If I use a "touchtone phone" technique, it doesn't work. Slowly and deliberately pressing each button has netted me the best results. Go too fast and it won't work. I will by this unit again in the future. The button issue is outweighed very heavily by the convience.

Quick, easy, and exactly what we wanted!

This keyless entry pad is the perfect partner for our garage door. Now we can access the garage without having to use the remote from our vehicle in order to do so. Quite convenient and quick & easy to install. Yippee!

5 stars

Needed a replacement for an non Sears keypad on an older Sears Door Opener. Prior unit only lasted about 5 years. Figured I'd be set with Craftsman...and was right. Five minutes to program, another five to install...DONE!

Super!

I installed ours for an opener that is not a Sears brand opener. Very easy to program and I have yet to replace the battery in 3 years! I will definitely put one on our new house.
