“A Good Saw To Use On Home Projects”

I needed the sabre saw to do some very detailed and delicate trim work...The saw worked great for the small home project I needed. I don't know if a big commercial project would be a good thing or not...But I would highly recommend it for anybody who has some small household projects

“Don't buy this saw”

I bought this saw thinking it had some interesting features. One of them turned out to be that you can't see the blade as it's cutting. The blades rotate as you cut, the shaft is not secure, the saw cuts so slow you have to push and that's never good with this type of saw. I'd recommend checking out... read full review »

“It has a freaking laser beam!”

WOW a laser, how cool!! I enjoy the laser as I am not very good at keeping straight lines while I cut on wood so having this option really helps me make a better cut. I haven't used this very much except for a few man projects around my home. I made two nice birdhouses with my wife and they turned out great. Also I put up some shelving in our closets and used this jigsaw for making some simple & specific cuts. No problems so far. It cuts smooth, cleans up well and is easy to store. All things I like, it's Craftsman what did you expect?

“Great tool.”

A very well rounded saw. Great features that actually work right. Easy to use cutting or changing the blades. The red glasses work great and should come with any tool with a laser light.

“Good Sturdy Saw”

I had a bit of difficultly controlling my cuts on large round cuts (cutting out a 6' diameter table  on 3/4" plywood).  Did not turn out very good on my side, but then watched my son, who has been working as a carpenter for a year cut a fairly perfect other half.  We have used it on several projects since then and have no problems other than it does not seem to get returned to the workshop and therefore I can't find it when I need it!  Very handy tool.  Wish I would have gotten one years ago.

I do wish you could see where the blade was going more easily though.  This would be very helpful...

“Awesome saw!”

Very nice jig saw. I used it to finish up a small project, and the saw worked like a charm. Lithium ion batteries are a must for this saw. If not, make sure you have at least a few batteries fully charged.

“Burned up motor”

I purchased this saw and the motor burned up within 4 months. I returned the saw and got another one, within a year another motor burned up. I can't recommend this saw.

“Good for small Projects”

Works nice for small projects. The lights come in handy to help see your pencil lines. The one problem I have is the quick change blades are not very stable. They have a tendency to rotate back and sometimes fall out.

“Junk (What happened to your tools)”

Absolute junk. The saw broke the very first time I used it. Apparently the scrolling feature broke and now the shaft that houses the blade just spins freely. Heading back to Sears for sure.

“RELIABILITY & PERFORMANCE POOR”

The saw's reliability and performance are in question. The mechanism that holds the scrolling solid, failed after first use. Saw is being returned to the store

“great for small projects”

so far I have used this tool for small projects are repairs. It cuts straight, is easy to use, and has some nice features like a blower to blow off sawdust, laser tracking and variable speed. I plan to use this tool a lot more and try it with other materials like plastic.

“Great Saw”

"I shopped around for many jig saws that has the power and durability to get the job done, and this one seems to have it all. I've done many projects with it and it runs just like it came out of the box. I'd definately recommend it to anyone looking for a great tool."

“Do not recommend”

After the second time of use, the scrolling "feature" broke, allowing the blade to spin all the way around. I took it back and bought the DeWalt.

“2 stars”

The foot was very difficult and frustrating to adjust, and required a torx screw driver (not included). It seemed cheap compared to the quality of the rest of the tool. I returned mine for a refund.
