Craftsman Loading Ramps —
Bought a pair of these Aug. 07, primarily for two-wheel hand carting (heavy and bulky!) sound equipment in and out of a GMC 3500 Savana 12' cutaway box van - perfect. Good solid construction and feel with a load on them, no tendency for slippage (I never even had to drill the box apron for the upper locating bolts; the rubber boots on the upper tangs keep them from slipping, and it allows them to be repositioned for different width spacings). Even in wet and snowy conditions there's good foot traction. Coincidentally, a few weeks after the purchase I used them to load / unload (into the same truck) my new DYS4500 lawn tractor. At first look, it seemed that it would high-center on the mower deck, but it cleared fine without hitting. And they're so EASY to handle; light, fold in-half nicely. Unless you're loading bulldozers, aluminum is the only way to go! Best deal out there for loading ramps! Reminder - wear gloves and watch where your fingers are when unfolding / folding them, they WILL pinch if you're not paying attention!
