Nice, but a size issue

Nice heavy multi-purpose shirt, basically what I wanted.  However, there should be a sizing chart on the web site that gives actual dimensions.  I ordered an XL and it was too small (tight in the shoulders and too short in the sleeve); I wear a 17-1/2 x 36 dress shirt, if anyone needs a relative comparison. ...

Most Helpful Critical Review

I've bought this shirt plus the matching trousers and love the sturdy, tough feel of the fabric. But both the shirt and pants started falling apart after just a few weeks of wear. Buttons came loose on the shirt and the hook-and-eye style waist fastener on the pants came undone. A lot of the buttons...

Good shirt, small details need work

Good sturdy shirt - medium fits fine at 5-11 and 170#. Fuller than most mediums, with longer sleeves, which I need. Heavier material should have bigger buttons and even bigger button holes than other similar shirts, to make it easier to button one-handed. Pockets, 5" deep, are just a little to shallow for a pocket notebook. Should be at least as deep (5.5") as on other Sears work shirts. deeper. Can't usually button if anything in pocket. Pencil slot way too narrow. Should pass a reasonably fat ballpoint pen or two. Barely passes the thinnest pen or pencil. Overall, excellent shirt. I wear them... read full review »

The way it used to be

Once upon a time in America, quality was viewed as a good thing. People didn't brag about their latest purchase, they bragged about the item they had that lasted the longest. It wasn't the latest rage, it was the shirt that you wore every week for the last 3 years and felt great and looked good every time you put it on. Returning from the past, this is that shirt. In my professional employment, I spend a lot of time chasing drill rigs into remote areas and in all kinds of weather. I love these shirts! They look good no matter what abuse is heaped on them, be it rain, drilling mud, or (2 for a buck!)... read full review »

good work shirt

I have tried dickies and prefer the craftsman over it . The tail is a little short though ! But overall it is a decent shirt

Good quality, thick and sturdy shirt

This shirt is of good quality and construction and I agree its seems better material and more attractive than the Dickies. It has two button down pockets on the front. This could be a good outerwear shirt over a t-shirt to replace a light jacket. I'm not really wearing it for physical work so I don't have issues with it in that way. It fits me fine, though others have noted they felt the shirt tail was too short. I didn't run into this problem but have a relatively short upper body, so maybe that is why. When laundering these things they seem only barely damp when removed from the washing machine... read full review »

Poor finich

The stitching is uneven and bunched up in several part. The pencil hole in the left pocket is too small to be of any use.

ALmost right

This product has a lot going for it but it falls short of really good. The construction and look are excellent but it's cut too small and you probably have to order a size larger than your usual size. The tails are also annoyingly short. The material is better than Dickies as is the coonstruction, but the fit is all wrong. This is workwear and you'd think they would want it to fit a bit less snug. Wait till the get around to fixing it and buy Dickies or something else until then. Go to a store and try one on if you want. That way the sizing will be apparent and you won't be disappointed. So close... read full review »
