Light, Fast and Smooth

Virtually no vibration compared to my finishing sander yet works just as fast. The pointed tip and accessories make even the hardest places easy to navigate. IMHO it's worth the extra $10 to get a few more pieces of sandpaper and the carrying case to hold everything together. The only negative I can... read full review »

Worked good while it lasted

I was given this sander as a gift. I used it to sand my cabinet doors for refinishing. It worked great for about the first 10 doors then it started vibrating hard and loud as if something had come loose inside. I was able to finish the project, but barely. I love Craftsman tools and was disappointed... read full review »

We have several of these sanders and have had trouble with each and everyone of them! I love the idea of them, but they are less than durable- our first sanders motor died within 2 days of purchase. Subsequent sanders have had problems with the pad, either it wears away at the tip and will not hold the sand paper any longer or the adhesive that holds the pad on melts during use and the  pad comes away from the base and will no longer hold onto the sand paper. The idea of the product is great, but there needs to be some rethinking on the design to rectify these issue, if you are going to use this...

Does the job

I bought this sander to get in the small sections of a kitchen island I'm refinishing. My orbital sander is too big to sand inside some decorative moldings and of course can't get into corners. This little sander takes care of these areas and saves alot of arduous hand sanding. The reversible and replaceable tips are great, and the finger attachments make sanding in grooves easy.Great sanding kit.Well worth the money.

I gotta admit, it worked well when it worked.  Used it to sand down cabinets for painting.  Worked well, got into corners and crevasses too. Also the scotch brite pads worked well for polishing metal... really good.  But then after 3 months I  got it out to do some sanding, and I got a snap-crackle-pop show with smoke!  Do yourself a favor, get a multi-tool.  It sands better and does more! ;)

Nice sander

A very nice and useful sander for the refinishing of furniture and other surfaces with a lot of corners and odd shapes. Very Happy.

Great sander for the hobbyist!!

I purchased this sander at my local Sears store. I am a hobbyist and for this job I am building a radio controlled air boat from a kit. I liked it because it reminded me of a triangular detail sander that I lost in my divorce. It has the size of a palm sander but the flexibility of a detail sander. I particularly like the ease of changing sand paper. I like not having to cut paper from a sheet and fiddle with a lever or screwdriver, just peel the old sheet off and stick the new one on. I have not used any of the attachments and I absolutely love the sander. I have told my hobby friends about it.... read full review »

Time Saver

I bought this for my husband for Christmas..he found it early. He said it was such a time saver on the project he's working that it might even get done before Christmas. Thank you Craftsman!

Mouse failure

I had my first mouse stop working and bought another one. I sanded a vanity with it and my son-in-law borrowed it because his mouse that I bought him for Christmas had stopped like mine and lo and behold my new mouse quit also. All 3 had the same problem. The mouse will not last.

So versatile

This handheld sander is of ingenious design. The Velcro system makes the strip and clip sander seem so primitive. Most important feature for me is comfort and ease of use - no more hand fatigue. And the tool gets into tight spots as efficiently as it covers the larger surfaces. I did use the finger attachments when necessary; interchanging the parts was quite easy with a small enough screwdriver. The only con is that the Velcro which grips the sandpaper sheets has worn thin, particularly in the tip - which in itself is not prohibitive, as the parts can be purchased and replaced. It's finding those... read full review »

The best Mother's Day Gift EVER!

When browsing through Sears one day I mentioned to my husband that the Mouse Sander was something that I would not mind having. Well what do you know guess what I got for Mother's Day. I was disappointed for quite awhile because what mother wants power tools for a gift like Mother's Day. But aftre I used it I was so happy that my husband had decided to get it for me. I have used it on household projects as well as helping my son out with a science project. I recommend that everyone keeps one of these in their garage. It is very compact and handy, it is the best power sander hands down.

Craftsman Mouse - The best product ever!

This sander is one of Craftsman's best products. It's very functional and versatile and getting replacement paper for it is easy since it's available at my local hardware store. I highly recommend this product!

The Mouse

I bought this product to quickly sand my baseboards for repainting, and to strip and refinish some furniture. It is great! Handles well, has the right attachments, is easy to use, powerful. I had it going for several hours - no problem. Great value. My favorite new tool!
