Good saw for the price

I've owned this saw for about 1 year. I read a review in Wood or some other mag. that rated it above the Rigid and Bosch. I have access, at work, to a $100,000 wood shop and this saw does not compare to the jet table saw saw, but for at home work (buidling frames, an armoire, and other projects) it... read full review »

Defective engineering design.

Even though this is a "Professional" Job Site table saw, I've only used it around the house, to do the kind of jobs a handy homeowner my do, like refurbish the guest bathroom or build add-ons to the kitchen cabinets. So it hasn't got a lot of use, especially, not the type of use one would expect for... read full review »

Great saw for around the house.  I have had several table saws thru the years.  This saw is portable.  It stores easily in my garage, between the cars.  I can move it out and be set up to cut in just minutes.  I recently put a Dado blade on the arbor and was pleased that there was plenty of power to make the cuts.  Unless your a cabinet maker... this is the saw for you.  By the way, it cuts true, unlike several other saws that I have owned in the past...

Great tool for a mobile tool shop.

I have used the Crastsman 10" job site saw for about three years now and would not trade it for the world.  I have used it to build finished shelfing for houses and offices as well as general jobsite type work and have no complaints. Thanks Sears.

Worth every penny

I've owned this saw for two years and put it to frequent use. Although alignment of the fence requires careful attention, the saw has been problem free. A crosscut sled will make up for the inexpensive miter bar, and a quality blade will produce satisfying cuts. It also rolls easily in and out of my garage, which is perhaps its most singular virtue. For the price, this is a heck of a saw for an occasional woodworker with limited space.

#21830 Table Saw

Great piece of equipment if you need to move your saw a lot like I do. Light enough to move, but durible enough to handle 3/4" 4'x8' sheet of plywood. I made toys for children and adults, I have a garage shop so I require a saw that is easily moved and stays fairly accurate with the numerous moves I make. Only down side I have had is the bushing to raise and lower the blade sticks from time to time making it diffacult to adjust the height of the blade.

The reviewer that is displeased really needs another type of saw. Its primary use is a compact TS w. all the extras on board ,to bring on site and for a lower price(if bought on sale). The Hitachi version for example ,is more expensive and has less features. My main complaint is no Zero clearance TP,no soft start(jumps on start), plastic elevation wheel, lots of slack in the miter bar(Top is not the problem),cheap miter gauge. For best results use a better TK blades, like a Freud and another miter gauge(I use my CM 22124 gauge). The elevation screw is a lead type(metal) and not a plastic mechanism... read full review »
