Craftsman Professional 10 in. Table Saw —
I bought this saw after agonizing over spending 1500 to 2000 on other brands. In the end I just couldn't justify that expense so I "settled" for this saw. I should "settle" more often! Yes, the saw is remarkably heavy (about 500lb. fully dressed) and you will need friends to help move/assemble it. However, after using a contractor's saw for years and watching it tip each time I cut a long/wide piece, the weight is worth it. you can cut full sheets of plywood with no fear of tipping. My favorite feature, by far, is the fence. Once it is adjusted (a very simple task) it is dead on accurate and lightning fast to set. No more measuring the front and back of the sawblade against the fence. Just lock it and go! And the motor is strong enough to spin a blade through thick hardwoods as well. Yes, you have to square the blade. But you would do this on any saw (or, at least, you should!) so it's not like it's an extra task for this saw only. I found the deck to be flat and the saw is also surprisingly quiet (compared to my old one). Good tool overall and it's the best buy on the market!
