A 1/2 in. single sleeve, all metal, ratcheting keyless chuck quickly grips the bit and clicks when the bit is properly secured. The ergonomic "T" handle with soft-grip provides proper balance and a secure grip on the tool. For enhanced vision, an LED work light is featured to illuminate the material and the work surface. This Craftsman Professional 1/2 in. Drill/Driver is powered by a 20V Lithium-Ion battery featuring SmartChip technology. SmartChip technology maximizes the efficiency and lifecycle of the battery by monitoring and controlling the battery's output. SmartChip is built into the battery system to protect the battery from over discharge, over charge, and overheating.
