Craftsman Professional 25 gal. Air Compressor, 1.8 hp, Horizontal Tank —

I did tons of comparison shopping before buying this compressor and nothing else came close to the performance it offered. I really wanted a quiet compressor because my old porter cable pancake compressor would leave your ears ringing after it ran every 5 minutes. This compressor is very quiet, you can be in the same room with it and it is quieter than pretty much every vacuum cleaner i've ever been around. I've used it for framing nailers, air hammers, and blow guns so far without it missing a beat. I can use a blow gun to blow dust out of all of my tools for 5 to 10 minutes at 90 psi and when I'm done, the compressor shuts off about 30 seconds after I do. I could not believe it was able to keep up with me constantly letter air out by using a blow gun. I love the tank capacity, especially since my last compressor was a 6 gallon pancake compressor. Sure this isn't as portable as one of those, but for it's size, it is surprisingly easy to maneuver around with the wheels. I would want some help before I tried to take it up or down some stairs, but this compressor is worth the money if you want a great tool.
