Craftsman Professional 25 gal. Air Compressor, 1.8 hp, Horizontal Tank —

I've seen some reviews for this stating it doesn't come with oil and that a few have ruined the compressor motor by starting it up without oil.  Mine arrived with oil and I read the manual before starting it and the manual states it already has oil.  Maybe Sears made some changes to alleviate warranty repairs.  So far this compressor works great and seems to outperform my Craftsman 4hp oiless compressor that I had for over 12 years. It is much, much quieter and I can place it right next to the doorway leading from the garage to my home without any concerns about the sounds of it running. It also holds pressure very well and I have not noted any leaks whatsoever. It will crawl across the floor while running due to some vibration but then again my oiless unit did the same thing. My floor is painted and might be a little more slippery than just plain concrete. I blocked the tires to keep it from moving around. All in all I really like this compressor and looking forward to it lasting at least 10 years if not more.  I use it for automotive repair/modifications as well as jobs around the house and air blasting my lawn equipment clean after each use.  Right now I enjoy not jumping out of my pants evertime the compressor turns on like I did with the oiless compressor.  BTW, the oiless unit was still running great and I sold it for $125.  That was one good investment for a 4hp compressor that I paid about $250 for over 12 years ago.
