I have owned my Craftsman Professional Cordless Impact Driver for about 3 years and have never had any problems with it. It works beautifuly and has great power and battery life.

I purchased this to replace another one I had that had developed a dead spot in the trigger. I really like the unit, but the dead spot is in the low speed area of the trigger. I use it alot on small delicate hardware and can't always use the 1250 inch rque, excellent Battery Lifepounds of torque that this unit develops or I may twist off a screw. The dead spot makes this difficult and the price of the replacement part with shipping was more the 1/2 of the replacement cost. Unfortunately the new one started doing the exact same thing as my old one in less then a day. Now I have two of them that I have to be very careful with when I use them.

I purchased the impact driver because it was on sale next to the 20-Volt drill/circular saw set. I usually research tools before I buy them, but I was intrigued by the price and could use another drill for the deck we were building--so I purchased it with out researching it. In fact, I wound up using the 20-Volt Impact Driver way more than I anticipated while building the deck. To be clear, this doesn't have the precision of a regular cordless drill, but it runs the screws into wood very fast and is lightweight, at the same time. As with others' reviews, the 1/4" quick-connect does limit bit selection, but if you're building a deck or running a lot of screws into another wood project, this impact driver is great. One note: the batteries don't seem to be exactly what I thought they would be. One of my batteries indicates a Fault if I drain it all the way. I am afraid that this may be a problem in the future; however, I love the impact driver....

I was very disappointed with the 20v ion batt life. the power is ok. weight is great. I have a 19.2 system that appears to have same power and batt life. For the big differance in price compared to my 19.2 the 20 ion is not a good buy. I won,t be buying any more and will probally try another brand. I use my tools hard every day on the job, the 20v just wasn't that much better.We call that bang for the buck.

This impact driver feels tough yet not too heavy. It's much smaller and lighter than my drill yet drives screws as deep as you want to go! Fantastic piece of equipment. Can't believe I've never had one till now!

This little guy is great!!!!! Used it to work on my atv, was just gonna change out some tires, eneded up striping the entire thing down and cleaning it. Also used it on a deck, drove in lag bolts with no effort. The trigger responce is smooth and true, no jumpy starts and stops. Great additon to the drill, saw, light set that i have already.

My son was removing screws from concrete. He broke two regular 19 volt drills (not Craftsman drills) trying to get the screws out. He borrowed this driver and they came out as if they were normal screws, amazed both of us. I'd suggest getting a 1/4 and 3/8 socket adapter for the collet so you can use your sockets with it. For such a tiny, lightweight tool it is anything but light weight. I used my compressor to install an awning and had to take it down to clean it...this baby treated it like a normal activity and the 20 volt Lithium's maintain the power so it doesn't get wimpy on you half way through the job. I haven't fired up my compressor to use impact tools since I got this..incredible tool if you expect to hit some tough jobs. Can't wait for a Hurricane so I can use this to anchor plywood over my windows...normal drills just won;t do what this baby does. Oh...I have almost all the Lithium 20 volt tools...great stuff, best I've ever owned. Now if they only made a house...

The Craftsman Pro 20V Lithium 1/4" Impact Driver is in one word ... amazing. I've never used a true impact driver before and often wondered how a little "tapping" inside the drill could really make a difference. WOW, I'm so glad I bought this driver. It made my yard projects (fencing, decking) soooo much easier when putting in the longer screws or attaching or removing lag screws. It's a huge advantage over a standard drill. I found myself using the hammer more than my standard drill for this reason. I picked up the 31 piece Impact Drill and Drive Set (with Speed-Lok) and glad I did as this hammer drill really puts out some torque.

I wish the quick release collet allowed for more flexibility (adapted to bigger/different size bits) as I would probably use the hammer for even more projects.

I bought this tool to expand my 20 volt lithium set. I already owned the circular saw, drill, and flashlight. Great for use as an electric screwdriver and works great for driving long screws into wood. It's a little on the heavy side, but it feels sturdy and the battery life is excellent. I recommend it to anyone who already has the 20 volt lithium set....

i am an auto technician at a new car dealership and i purchased this impact nine months ago for light work around the shop. i was impressed right away with its awesome power and soon began using it on almost every job. it has enough power to do all of the jobs that i used to use my 1/4 air impact for and most that i used my 3/8 air impact for. battery charge lasts all day with constant use and several days with intermittant use. the charge leds decrease the need for a second battery because if i see it is getting low i just charge it during lunch or in the evening!!! quick change bit is a nice feature for switching between 1/4 and 3/8 drive. by far the best 1/4 impact available. i waited to write this review to see if the tool would last and still perform after months of hard use. it does !!!!!! this is by far my favorite tool and as a professional technician i have hundreds of tools to choose from!! definitely a winner!!...

As an avid car enthuasiast, I would rather spend my hard earned cash on ridiculous camshafts and power adders first, 2nd on tools. My Makita, BTD142 impact died this weekend. I needed a replacement right now and Sears was open for business. I bought the best they had.....Professional series 20v, lithium, impact driver. This impact had way more power than my previous cordless! In fact, it would almost strip screw heads if the trigger was not feathered! Not being biased, my old impact was a little lighter and even balanced, but the Professional was more of the impact I wanted. Brute, powerfull force when you needed it and power that would last the whole day. This is a keeper in my toolbox !!!...

This Impact driver has serious torque, a very bright LED facing up and forward and is pretty well balanced in your hand. I work on cars all day and use it like I do my 3/8in air impact. Its rugged and very powerfull, will take off spark plugs without even ratcheting. Variable speed helps you to not overtighten and break a bolt. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking at the Snap-on level of impacts. This will save you alot of money and more compact and powerfull. Just make sure you buy the Battery and Charger which come seperatly from each other as well. So you will need 3 iteams total to get going. I had the 14.4V version of this impact from many years ago and I am comparing my findings of this new one against how the old one was. 10x's better!...

Excellent quality, very light and powerful impact driver. The price is bargain in comparison to other named brands such as Makita, Hitachi, etc. It took me less than 3 minutes to drive in 20 4" lag screws on my arbor. Do this job with a wrench and it would take more than 1 hour plus you get a sore hand and wrist for a week....
