I bought this sweeper to use behind a John Deere Z830 zero turn in commercial applications. I did manage to hit the wheel on something and it broke on the hub because it is made of plastic. I had to buy a wheel from sears parts direct. I did get the wheel, however it came in an agri-fab box so I would just assume the agri-fab product may be the same. It looks the same. The unit did work very well picked up all sorts of stuff. The only thing it does not do well is pick up anything out of low spots. Overall a very nice unit but I would recommend some full metal wheels with rubber on the outside tread,... review »

I bought the Craftsman Sweeper as an alternative to a power bagger for my John Deere x520 tractor that costs literally three times as much. I mow almost 4 acres, some of it uneven. I've owned it for about two months now. Assembly was okay with the instructions being better than I expected from other reviews. There were a few steps that were a bit unclear, but nothing that can't be overcome with a few minutes of thought time. Totally assembly time was about an hour. Initial use was simple and easy once you get the level of the attachment to the tractor worked out. This is important as the bottom,... review »

Problem 1 - The assembly manual does not show where two cotterpins go. They should go in the top rear bar where the handle attaches. Not shown anywhere in the instructions. Problem 2 - Grass blows out of the basket at a great rate. It needs a lower cover that can clip onto the center rod and is weighted at he sweeper housing to stay closed when needed. Otherwise the sweeper does a great job.

All of the reviews here are helpful and I have found them to be true. Thanks for the heads up on where the two mystery cotter pins go. They stabalize the dump handle where it connects to the top support rail of the basket. And it does kick out some grass and worse on leaves but still does a great job and just make a second pass and good to go in heavy or thick materials. I only gave it 4 stars because assembly was more challenging and is a lot easier with two people for some of the tasks. The directions are clear and concise, but I ran into trouble with the pal nuts, so i just drilled holes in... review »

a good sweeper except for a poor brush system. the bracket that holds the brushes on to the shaft is constantly breaking. I have replaced the bolts multiple times, and the bracket twice. I felt it was poor design, but sears says I must have the brushes too low. so they wont warrenty it fourtunatly the parts are not too much. Not bad to put together and stors nice. also picks up well. if the brush was better I would give it 5 stars.

Assembly directions for this Craftsman sweeper could be a better. A couple of the steps just did not make since on the first pass. But I got it after a bit. It took me about 1-1/2 hours to assemble. A good bit of that time was trying to figure out the particular step. In one step I turned the holes the wrong way on one section and had to take it back apart. The bendable rods to support the rear of the bag are too flimsy. I bought 2 thicker ones from the hardware store. The pivot rod that holds the basket kept vibrating out the of the holes they were in and would knock the drive on caps off....

The first time I tried my lawn sweeper, the right wheel locked and never freed, it just kept sliding. I drug it half way around the yard using forward and reverse but I was unable to free it. This is a brand new, expensive sweeper, and don't  work!  The sweeper itself comes pre-assembled from the factory, so it wasn't nothing I did. I bought it via internet, and since it was not a "in store" purchase, I might have some trouble exchanging it. I called the sears outlet store where I had the sweeper shipped (it's free shipping to a sears store) they only had a store display, but took...
