I purchased the Professional Grade Zero Turn mower. It is made by Bob Cat and this was a selling point for me. However, at 25 house the tension belt spring 'snapped', rendering the mower inoperable. After a long period of delay and rescheduled service I took the mower back to the retail store and they replaced it with a new one. From reading other reviews this seems to be a major mechanical problem. Overall the mower is a well built machine. It reduced my cutting time for 2 to 4 acres by about one half. It is powerful, runs smoothly and does not bog down in heavy grass. I, too, had a problem with the lack of seat suspension and it really jolted my back. Quick Fix: I obtained two coil sprinigs from an old craftsman mower and mounted them under the rear of the seat with two self - tapping screws. Rides much better. Better seat suspension should be standard. If not, provide an affordable option. I have to frequently cut grass in the late evening and the machine does not have lights. Quick Fix: Single flood light attached to front of machine and switch mounted by seat. Mower should be offered with lights as standard option. Another item to reconfigure would be the location of the choke. It could be mounted higher, therefore easier to reach, or mounted on the control panel near the blade clutch. Bob Cat makes a full suspension seat for this mower. However, at $375.00 it is a little pricey. There are other companies who sell less expensive suspension seats. I would recommend that Sears Engineers review their specs for the transaxle tension spring, checking its temper or possible attachment location on the mower. Once corrected they should consider a recall to have a new, stronger spring installed on all of the units. A great customer relations move. One other user friendly change would be the battery hold down. It could be easily redesigned so the consumer would not have to be a contortionist to loosen the nuts.
