Craftsman Professional 6-1/8 in. Jointer/Planer —
A good buy! Especially when it was on sale. Arrived on time and in good condition. Fit and finish better than I have seen with other Craftsman products the last few years. Only minor cosmetic blemishes noted. Assembly was straight-forward and with no problems (it takes two people or a hoist). Only minor adjustments needed for operation out of the box. The assembly instructions are a bit flaky, but usable (front and rear panels never get installed, and shipped partially assembled configuration not like instructions). Minor parts (washers) missing. Overall very usable instructions. Operates quiter than I expected. Design supports efficient dust collection, even with just a shop-vac. It is new purchase, so reliability and durability are unknown. One year warranty. Overall, I believe it is a good buy. Sears also price-matched their own price reduction after I bought it.
