Well... I bought the Craftsman table saw and love it. So I thought I'd try the jointer too. It was a tough choice between the Grizzly and the Craftsman, but I can't imagine being more impressed (so far, only had it 3 days).
The set-up was terrific (especially the sorted nut and bolt package). If you mess that up... you might wanna try cooking.
Everything went together great and I was impressed with the quality of each part. I converted mine to 220v right off. I cranked it up and ran a few boards and I can't believe it. Almost silent... and the boards came out like silk. Square as can be, but I suppose that's mostly set-up.
I read another review about a tipsy base.... all I can think is he/she didn't put on the front and rear panels (which supply a lot of support). Expect a couple of hours in set-up, if you do it right. But having run a few high dollar jointer's... I can't believe the value here. Woohoo.
