Laminated!

I have a very old 1/4" shank Craftsman router. I needed a router table for a tongue and groove project. First, I tried the entry-level $80 Craftsman Router table. But, my router's base is not perfectly round due to the handle mount and it didn't look like I could make it fit. Besides, the cheap model... read full review »

Good idea, but...

This table has many good features, adequate fence, easy adjustment of fence opening, easy layout. The first cuts were clean and easy. However, the plate that holds the router is plastic, and has sagged over the year and a half I have used it, so it no longer will make a clean cut. I must replace the... read full review »

Great Deal

When first looking at parts, I was a bit hesitant about quality. After an easier than expected assembly (instructions and diagrams very clear), I set up for a dado cut. The only problem was my mistake, my vacuum line was smaller than the hook up. With the proper size vacuum, it works great. The lower storage area is a good feature, and the laminate surface is easy to keep clean. Great product folks, you get an exceptional tool for the price.

A quality table

I find this table a pleasue to use. I've had a couple of router tables over the years and found them lacking in one way or another. I use it in conjunction with my Sears fixed base/plunge base router with the fixed base mounted to the metal plate. The table is flat, sturdy and the fence isn't flimsy and has a nice slppery surface. I especially like the adjustability of the fence opening near the bit and the fact that my shop vac hose slips on to the vacuum port. The only negative note is in the assembly of the metal plate to the table top. There are 4 leveling inserts under the plate that need... read full review »

Table offers durable use

The table itself is of what appears to be MDF with laminate finish. When properly assembled, it offers a sturdy and solid work table for your router. The only things I do not care for is that the door seems to bind at the hinges.....this I think is caused by slight rubbing with the stiffening bar under the tabletop. I am also using a non-Craftsman brand plunge router and the reference guide isn't so clear when it comes to the non Sears brand routers and the proper attachment method to the table. The reference guide (during assembly) also refers to certain parts while the photo on the front... read full review »
